Default Titanium shift **** fadding?

I've had the Alex titanium shift **** for over a year now and as of late its looking pretty dull.

It used to be blue/purple/gold.

And now its just gold and ugly silver.

Can I just re-burn it or what?

polish it and see how that goes

re heating it might just turn the whole thing blue since they are heating from purchase. my spoon still looks the same way as it was new.

UPDATE:

from speedyg05 from s2ki
"about the torch thing i used a regular butane torch and just circled the top of the **** for a bit until you see it change color then just let it cool down on its own dont touch it until its cold so when you torch it make sure your going to be able to leave it in that spot for about 30min to 1 hour oh yea just make sure you clean the **** very very good no finger prints. well then good luck"

So now we know how to fix it... But what causes it?? It doesnt make sense to me that they would fade. My alex **** color faded like a month after I got it, but my friends spoon **** hasn't ever faded... I don't get it.
