Default How do i check engine codes on obd1

My car started acting up last week after a 10 min ride it would surge and sputter when idling then when starting off it started cutting out and sometimes when cruising it starts to misfire every couple of seconds today it did it again after another long ride and finally threw a code it's an obd1 LS by the way, im guessing its either the dizzy or injectors just want to know if i can check the code myself or, if you know whats wrong that'd be great

Thanks Ricky

You can use this.
http://technet.ff-squad.com/how-to/celcheck/
Or you could go to AutoZone pretty sure they check it for free.
