Integra Dash conversion into CRX
Hi everyone
I just order a complet integra 94-01 dashboard, center console and door panels to swap in my crx but now I wanna know how much trouble it is to make it fit in there and how bad is the wiring conversion and if the climate control is in the way.
For starter I know you need to remove the crx dash brakets and do custom integra dash braket to fit the little rex but for the others things I need help to make sure everything will work fine after I'm done!!
Please help

You already said what needs to be done.
You're going to need to make custom brackets, and probably do some trimming here and there on the dash.
Wire it up and you're done.

Re: (Jonathan_ED3)
i've done this before and trust me, you need lots and i put emphasis on lots of patients. you need to make custom brackets on the sides of the dash and an extended L shape bracket spack dap in the middle of the dash to mount on to the stock hole. if you gotta welder mig/tig/flux this shouldnt be a problem but if you dont, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. lol jk pm me cuz i have some brackets i've made expecially for this swap. heres some pics of how it should turn out when completed

I think it looks nice. The crx/civic dash is too boxy looking and looks like crap imo. But like crazy88s said it is a biotch to put in but looks clean when done properly, I don't know if you have seen this thread, but here you go...

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm naaah i rather not. hahah i knew i was gonna get hated on if i posted up pics of my conversion but oh well that's h-t for yeah. with that said for those that arnt open minded to new ideas and follow recieve my
...for those that like to lead and dont care for what anyone else says... the integra dash needs to be trimmed down about 3-5mm for about 5-6 inches along the edge of the dash along the side of the firewall.
the a/c vents have to go, theres no way the origional crx vents match up with the integra a/c vents.
i need to paint the interior this weekend so i'll take pics of what i did and outline it in detail.

Re: (krazy88s)
That's a conversion I want to do as well. The CRX dash is too boxy. That's the thing, the CRX may be 88-91, but it's not as boxy in body design as the sedan or hatch, this conversion will go great with a CRX.
The conversion I want on my CRX: DC dash, EK 99-00 front. expletive the haters, if you don't want your **** looking old, then do what you gotta do.

Yeah, I am all about the DC dash but an EK front? Dude the lines on the car will not fit at all, imo. I feel you though, I hate my 2 piece headlights but I guess I will just deal with it.

EK, DA, DC front ends on CRX's, Hatches, or 4drs look like a horses butt. Anyone that does them should burn in hades.
That is my opinion and your thoughts suck no 1,2,3 rules necessary.

no way.....that looks too curvy+thats a HUGE depth of the dash...feels like a desk up there where i can store ****..........
to the STOCK crx dash, its perfect for the car+ the center console angled towards and FOR the driver....atleast it makes me feel imp. hehe
stick with the stock dash

Re: (CRX Toad)
Let everyone keep ruining their crx's and soon there will be only a few good looking crx's with original interior/exterior and they will be money.

Re: (b18CrxSi91)
Yall get that **** outta here. Everybody doesn't want the SAME DAMN CRX. The only differences in 99% of the CRX's here is Stock vs WingsWest vs JDM SiR? That and what set of bronze, red or black 15 inch ROTAS did you choose.
Yeah, I'll do JDM on my CRX alright....
JDM ITR cluster for my DC dash and
JDM EK9 headlights, grill, and lip on my EK9 front.
Out with the old, in with the newer. You are all saying that the CRX dash is better, just because it's stock? Makes zero sense to me, objectively the Teg DC dash is better. Subjectively, it's up to the person.
I mean, a D15B1 STD motor is better for a CRX than a 2001 H22A4, beause it's the same gen/chassis, right?

think you better get your eyes checked. The stock CRX interior is horrible looking and outdated.
I'm also definetly looking into doing this as soon as I can find the teg interior.

Have you seen an EK front on a CRX? The headlights are bigger then the rear windows by a massive amount, now that just looks silly You want a million different front end options, get a 240SX.

Wow, you showed us all with your mad JDM pieces, yo. And yes a D15B1 motor is better than a H22 in the EF chasis. At least you are learning something.
Hey jump on 75/71, 471 or 275 your choice when you get to the bridge going across the Ohio river veer to the right just before you cross you will do us all a favor.

Re: (krazy88s)
Do you sell your custom brackets for the integra dash swap ?!
Does the climate control work after the swap if not is it possible to swap the integra climate control and one last thing is it true you need to cut your steering rack, does the integra steering rack fit !?

I'm 99% sure you've got to cut the steering rack to make it fit.
That's probably why the pictures above don't have the rack up in place, because he hadn't cut them yet.
The climate control won't work...that's what I just said in the post above mine.
The vents don't line up at all....and if I remember correctly the evaporator/blower motor won't fit right behind the dash.

lol i havent taken pics of it yet but yes, the rack has to be cut. i plasma cut it an inch after it gets bolted onto the steering wheel linkage.
you could try to get the entire DC integra climate control and swap it in instead of using the crx stock unit. not sure how its gonna come out tho. i'll get pics after work. promise

As you know on H-T your bound to get or from everybody when you step outside the mold. I like to keep an open mind, and I think the DC2 dash looks great. Its something different then the thousands of crx's sporting the CF hood, JDM front end, B-swap, and 15" rotas.
I wouldn't want to drive a car that is a carbon copy of everybody else's car. That is why we swap, cut, modify, replace original parts that came on our cars for JDM, aftermarket, or other Honda/Acura parts. Good job on the conversion, and keep up the great work!

Re: (CRXB16T)

that is because the integra door panels will not fit on EF door, you either have to get custom ones made to resemble the DC door panels and line up perfectly, or some people just cut out a little slot where the door panel lines up with the dash and heat up plastic and slam door to make them fit. I like the first option better though but more $$$.
