*FIXED* new project / how to get a cbr into a second floor apartment 56k beware. *FIXED*
I am somewhat new to the motorcycle section but not to honda-tech. I also ride a 1994 sportster 1200 that has chrome worth more then this entire project.
Well I started a new project 1991 cbr 600f2. I picked it up for 500 bucks. it starts right away even in the winter and it is straight. clean title.
Plans: full f4i plastic. complete disassemble and clean and paint. clean carbs. new full exhaust.
Go here if the images arnt working I will fix them after lunch.
http://community.webshots.com/...cyVFs
This Is how we carried the frame up the stairs 2 guys.
This is how we carried the motor.
What I hope it looks like when I am done. Needs paint.

Re: (marmaladeboy)
nope no garage. I am 20 and am on an engineering intership for 6 months at mack trucks/Volvo powertrain in maryland.
I live in ny and go to school in philly.
So this project is being done in my apartment. til its finished then its going home to ny in the garage.
As for fixing the pictures I have no idea why webshots keeps fing it up.

Re: (PGK)
actually the fabrication is the hard part so after the fab I wont mind pulling it apart to take it down the stairs. or I am going to have 3 friends and I take it down step by step.
Getting down stairs is alot easier then getting it up.

I saw this posted on CBRWorld.. looks like a nice project. I wish I could find a CBR in that condition for 500. Seems like everyone in CA wants 1500+ for a salvage bike in that condition.

Re: (Odiedogcx)
Come guys its completely different. cbrs have wheels. b16s do not. this has to go up stairs. I have to go down with brakes. and I have alot bigger stairwell then that.
I already did the hard part bringing it up. the down is easy.
when I am done I will post again

Re: (kulrevon)
Well the Bike is almost done. A friend and I brought it down the stairs yesterday night. wasnt that bad either. I stayed in front holding the brakes. The only time he had to lift was to get the bike over the first couple steps.
I rode the bike to the store to get air in the tires. its all good.
I can't get more pictures yet because work blocks imagestation.

Re: Re: (Mr. PengUIN)
It looks high because of the no front fender. and the tan garage floor is slanted up towards the gray. so the front of the bike is on a higher surface than the back.
also I wanted it all flat black but it was easier to leave the back silver. so thats the way it was going to stay.
as for the mirror I had to pass inspection. and I didnt mind being able to see behind me.
