Default UKDM/EDM lighting-Moving to England!

I just found out that I have to change all my turn signals and parking lights to pass there MOT vehicle inspection when I move to England in December. Are there any places that sale cheap lights on the net?

Also I have to have the stupid side repeater/fender blinkers installed also. Do you think I should have my stock fenders drilled or have some cheap fenders installed. I really do not like they way they look so I would like to go back to not having them someday. I guess I could get the smallest ones and make them as unnoticable as possible.

Also what is up with the rear bumper fog light? Can they just install a light on the bottom of the bumper or do I have to it installed in the middle of the fender like they come stock over there?

Maybe one of you UK boys can hook me up with some junkyard parts!

TIA,

hey sup man, haha yeh its gonna cost you about $60 to fill up, yeh i live in England, theres quite a few good places here, what exactly are you lookin for? as for the rear fog, you dont have to have it, its a funny rule over here that one, and no you dont have to have it in the actual bumper itself, on the bottom will do. And by law you have to have the side repeaters, you can pick loads up at junk yards. where abouts in the uk are you movin too?

from that picture above, im guessing that the usdm and/or jdm foglights are different than the ukdm fogs. so question is, would the usdm/jdm fogs comply with ukdm regulations?

I'm curious what specifically about the stock USDM lighting won't pass the UKDM MOT inspection? I understand the issue with the fender side lamps and the rear fog lamp, but what about the rest of the lighting?

dont wanna jack thread but...while the subject of rear bumper foglights came up...is there any particular side that they came, from the factory? because i imagine they did not just randomly pick a side and put it there...or could the buyer choose or something?

They are installed on the driver's side of the vehicle, whichever that may be.

I think it depends whether the car is rhd or lhd. In Germany the fog light is on the left side of the rear bumper.
As you can see on the picture, rhd ITRs have the fog light on the right side.

So the buyer could not choose ...

Lighting rules specifically;
- Front parking lights will be clear/white.
- Rear turn signals will be amber, and when flashing will not interfere with brake lights (like on 94-98 integras).
- Vehicles built after 1981 will have fog light mounted at rear of the vehicle, centered to the right hand side. Also the light control switch must light up when the fog light is on and must be seen from the drivers seat.
(anyone seen the JDM foglight switch for sell recently?!)
- Vehicles built after 1986 must have a side repeater in the fender. (wraparound lights may substitute in some models - not ours I'm sure!)
- Headlights are angled differently ?!

Of course this all part of the importation money gouging/taxing that takes place in all countries!
