Re: My Project 1991 CRX HF with B16 Swap (kulangot)
it was sitting in my garage for 3 weeks every time i walked in there i saw a big unpainted spot on it. Then one day i was bored and picked up some blue paint off the shelf and had a ball.

Re: My Project 1991 CRX HF with B16 Swap (Boosted Chemist)
Yeah,
I plan on boosting in the future too. Probably T3/T4 Turbo, Turbo Cams, Eagle Crank, Rods, Dished Pistons, Sleeved Block, etc.
As far as 1/4 Mile times with this motor in my old Gutted Civic Hatch it did 14.7 in the 1/4 on steelies, bad 02 sensors, and no mods other than a short ram intake. With what i have now I'm shooting for a conservative 14.3

Re: My Project 1991 CRX HF with B16 Swap (CRXB16T)
Got the motor in last night i stayed up until 3AM. Now I just have to hook it all up. There are still a few minor things i need to get like a rubber brake line with fittings for the front passenger side, then I'm going to flush the cooling system, the brake lines, drain the oil, then all fresh fluids go in.
Here are some pics
You can see in the backround of this picture it is pitch black outside. It was worth an all nighter to get this motor in
And does anybody know what this plug is? My friend relocated it thinking it was the injector resistor plug but it's not. Its in the same area of the injector resistor box, in the engine bay.

I did the same thing....you got a little more stuff then i do...but **** i love my b16a hf....it just scares people when they role next to me and the whole 2000 lbs shifts forward.....it's so badass....I think it is the distirbutor plug....the injector plug has 12 plugs doesn't it....
Did you take out the a/c lines and all the ****...

If thats the plug that plugs up near where the injector resistor box is, then no that is not for the dizzy, I think that runs back towards your underdash harness.

if it's part of the engine harness then no. no part of the engine harness runs back through the firewall. and there is no connector on the body harness that has an 8 pin connector like that. the only connector that i found with an 8 pin connector like that was on the distributor.

Re: My Project 1991 CRX HF with B16 Swap (EFRue57)
Here are the wire colors for the unkown connector
This is the plug that i have connected to the dizzy one of the pins is plugged on both ends of the connector
I'm thinking my friend used the dizzy plug from my dx harness that that B16 came out of. So i might have two dizzy plugs I'll have him look at it today.
Thanks for all the comments. I'm trying to make this as clean a swap as possible no cutting corners. Can't wait to finish, I'll probably take it to some H-T meets when its completed.

well I dunno how many pins it is, but on stock crx harnesses theres a large round plug towards the end of the engine harness that plugs into the engine bay harness...I dunno why I was thinking back through the firewall he just made it sound like it was around the injector resistor box area, not the dizzy area.

Looking good! Nice job documenting the work. It is always fun to look back at it 6-12 months later and remember all the hard work you put in. Makes you appreciate it all over again....

yea i know which one you're talking about but it's not the same connector. that one is a 14 pin connector and it's also a male connector. the one he is showing is an 8 pin connector and it's a female connector. oh and i guess i should make it clear that even though it is an 8 pin connector it should only have 7 wires in it.

This is the best picture i found until I get off work but i found the other 8 pin connector and it is NOT for the dizzy. In fact it turned out to be part of the injector harness. If you look at the picture the big round plug is the 8 pin connector and is right next to the injector box.
Thanks for your help, soon the car will be running. Then i can get some rolling shots and video.
