Re: OMNIMAN B16A 200WHP DVD! PREORDER YOURS TODAY! FREE TRAILER! (Das Bar 2k4)
Thanks Peter,
We are excited to release this DVD to the fans of Hondatuning everywhere. I am happy to say that it was a huge effort to get this to you guys. Steve did great work
on this: 60whp in 6 days or BUST... this is not your typical project. Stock bore and stroke 126_+whp/liter at the tire on an OEM gen 1 b16 block... with USDM pistons... gotta love it. Anyhow, lets keep the torch burning. You will see more things pointing to this in the coming days!
Peter @ IAP Direct I just got a call from my account manager at my plant that the product will be shipping out Friday for orders to begin to be turned around this coming week We still have a few numbered/signed copies available for those that feel like they must have it Please PM me with any questions. The product is available through Peter on his website and if you need any more information, you can check our website and Rocket Motorsports m24x.zeroforum.com where the project began in 2003!
Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words
and all the interest and support!

Wow. $69 is too much for a 2 hr. dvd video with step by step installation and 3 full dyno runs? Not sure what to say about that one.

Re: OMNIMAN B16A 200WHP DVD! PREORDER YOURS TODAY! FREE TRAILER! (peteriap)
Thanks Peter,
maybe we could look at it like this:
2 Dual Layer DVD9s in a Double Black Amaray
12 episodes that are 22-48 minutes long each.
-each episode has a 1.5min trailer that visually explains each segment
4 of them pertain to rebuilding and modifying a B16 tranny
-4.7 install, ITR diff install, 3-4 synchro install, 3.077 1st install
3 of them pertain to the work on the cylinder head and package
-shop visit to Tom @ Portflow
-head work, head assy, head parts, tuning and parts overview
2 of them pertain to the block
-block assembly, piston and rod install, technical overview
3 of them pertain to dyno tuning run by run and you see the full
deal on how this car was tuned.
-Dyno Tuning on the car at Trackmasters, Carlos "Bubba" Ocegueda Rocket, Leslie Durst, Shawn Church at Church Automotive for a new baseline 206.5/123.2 off the street. Shop visit to RC engineering to meet Russ Collins and John Park, visit to Dynamic Autosports to meet with Ed Kim
not to mention all the trailers and info that has been online and free
for the last year thanks to TORD are on there as well that explain
the project.
I will agree with DvD3 that this video was way too much money to make!
This video has been produced with one purpose in mind, to relay information
and help show people how a project comes together and between Omni and
myself was a total out of pocket expense and a total sweat equity investment.
I will say that no, this video is not cheap. I can tell you that there seems to be a growing number of people that would agree that it is worth separating with a few dollars to have this resource on hand. This something completely different and it
is hopefully a move in a new direction to show the guys out there another
view on this thing that we enjoy
Many thanks to all our sponsors that donated parts and thier time to this project!
InterTuneTv would like to thank Rocket @ Rocket Motorsports' m24x.zeroforum.com for giving us a home on thier board!
-for those that do not know, this project came from the need to demonstrate a question that was asked on the forum: "how much horsepower per liter at the tire can a honda make NA on 91 octane pump gas"
Steve felt compelled to demonstrate and when I approached him and he said he would do it with a stock displacement B16... I felt the need to document the project **OEM spec bottom end. Parts list is available on the website.
more info can be had at:

Thanks,
Mike

On the outside I agree. $70 for a damn DVD is waaay too expensive. But I'll tell you this; its a hell of a lot cheaper than me blowing thousands on worthless-*** parts and not even eclipsing 200rwhp on my B16 build. It will also save tons of money (and time!) by teaching me how to do most of the build by myself rather than at a shop.
I'm in for one!

Thanks for the post! Glad to see some of you guys are seeing the full value of these. This is far superior than any Tech DVD you have seen.

Actually its a great price, A step by step video by one of the best honda engine builders. You really cant go wrong for the price. So much good info in this video. Maybe all the noobs will buy this video instead of making post after post about "how can i make my b16 fast" for Mike and Steve for making this happen.

If that's the case how come it's $70? You'll only be "showing" all this to the few people who can afford to spend $70 on a DVD. Regardless the video seems to be very informative and for that you get , but in my opinion the price is too high.

Going by that logic how come magazines cost only $4.99 not $69 when most do feature tech articles and multiple dyno runs among another things? I agree the amount of info here is greater but still doesn't justify $70 in my opinion.

Re: OMNIMAN B16A 200WHP DVD! PREORDER YOURS TODAY! FREE TRAILER! (DC2-JRSC'd)
I am glad to have your take on the price we will take that in consideration
Keep in mind, it isnt a magazine. You see the results LIVE.
There are 2 DVDs and I could have
released them as a volume 1 and volume 2. We chose not to
do that. I understand that the price is a limiting factor, however
those that really see the value in it have not even balked at
the price from what I can tell. Once things get moving we will
see where we can move and by how much. Right now, we are
building a bridge to the next project. This type of endeavor isnt
cheap and for those that believe in what we are doing its more
than just buying a video. Its watering a seed that can grow into
a show that has its finger on the pulse of what guys on the boards
want to see. I hope that everyone gets something out of this,
wether they buy or not. Thanks for the its been a long
road so people can hold this in thier hands. I could elaborate,
however what matters is what HP makes it to the tires. I will
let the work speak for itself.
Thanks Again,
Mike@InterTune.Tv
