Alright. Im creating this thread for reference and to keep track of all the builds with the Vitara pistons that are running.

Please!!!! Just post your setup if the motor is assembled and running in your car or a friends ride.. Try to keep questions to a minimum since this is only a reference post.
If you want to be here, build your motor!! je je..This thread is to encourage all who has the pistons but have not finished their builds yet. I know there are more than 30-40 members that have bought these pistons.. So there should be quite some setups around.

Dyno can't be posted at the moment b/c of an error w/ WTDR and my account not deciding to activate, so you'll have to hold out.

Setup:

-95 d16z6 in an EX coupe.
-Vitaras / SCAT rods.
-Junkyard (and now blown) t3, tiny .. .42/.48 maybe, from a volvo
-11,000 or so miles on it, boosted from mile 1 of rebuild.
-uberdata + dsm450's, tuned by me
-Dyno'd @ 1 bar, but have boosted up to 18 lbs, accidentally maxxed out boost gauge a few times ... but boost cut is our friend.

Dyno chart is as follows (mental picture, people):

fully spools to 1bar @ 4k rpms, makes ~200 ft/lbs from 4k-5500rpms, then from 5500-7500, steady fall to a final torque @ redline of 150 ... turbo is too small

PEAK torque = 202.5 ft/lbs @ 4500 rpms
PEAK horsepower = 213.1 @ 6k rpms

nice powerband from 4500-7k ...

Turbo is shot ... t3/t04e 50 trim is in the mail. The current turbo just didn't have enough for this motor, so we'll see.

Good luck everyone else!
MATT

EDIT: GOT THE DYNO PIC UP:
The higher tq/hp dyno is the new motor ... he happened to have the dyno of my old stockblock (same motor) setup before it blew still on the comp, so he overlayed them for me. Pretty cool eh?

Here ya go:

*Car: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1296381

*Engine: D16Y8 block and head

*Time being built: Took about 7 months start to finish acquiring parts and assembly, and the setup currently has 1000 miles on it.

*Basic setup: Y8 block, Y8 head, Vitara pistons, Eagle rods, 16g turbo, BMC manifold, DSM 450's, uberdata

*Turbine used and specs if possible: Regular 16g DSM (not exactly sure of specs)

*Link to your Build thread: https://honda-tech.com/zero...64462

*Type of Engine Management: uberdata

*Power results + Dyno Chart:Missed my dyno appointment yesterday cause I'm still waiting for my 3 bar map sensor to get here Hopefully I'll be able to go next week. I'm currently running 9psi on the same map from my old motor, and will be using 15 or so daily, and more on the dyno.

*Track times if any and time slip: Nothin yet...

*Car: Doesn't matter

*Engine: high mileage D16z6, head has zex springs and bottom is ACL bearings and Eagle rods

*Time being built: 5k and still going strong. 155psi across the board about 500 miles ago.

*Basic setup: HF manifold, Audi External gate on manifold for highboost, 14b/td05h with internal gate for daily driving, 2.5in DP right into 3in exhaust, dual dsm SMIC FMIC, 2in into IC 2.5in into throttle body, 450cc injectors, Mountain Dew Catchcan.

*Turbine used and specs if possible: 14b/td05h

*Type of Engine Management: Turboedit, (motor is using d16a6 distributor and all obd0 gear) Wideband street tuning.

*Power results + Dyno Chartwhen u have it available): No clue... might get to a dyno day soon.

*Track times if any and time slip: Possibly the 3rd. Ima run at the 7psi internal gate... 15-18psi external with just the boost retard of -.6 Then dyno time will allow for real ignition timing.

Anyone have the hookup for a big 16g? ie: evoIII 16g.

edit: keep updating overall mileage

*Car: 94 DX coupe
*Engine: D16y7
*Time being built: Motor as about 5K on it since first broken in on boost.
*Basic setup: Stock Y7 with Vitaras. JRC Front Mount, Drag manifold, 1G DSM injectors and BOV etc...
*Turbine used and specs if possible: 48/60 T3
*Type of Engine Management: Uberdata 1.7 tuned by 93TurboB16
*Track times if any and time slip: 14.8 at 94 mph, 8 psi with FTL set way too low and bogging off the line. With a good hookup it could run high 13's with the same boost level.

Fellow Vitara users.... anyone want to release aproximate timing degrees for their setups at different boost levels? Don't have time for dyno atm, and street tuning of the timing would be simpler with a psuedo target timing.

Oh, heres the TE map if anyone is interested in looking at it. TE 2.5.5

At the moment my numbers are rather low, but I am at like 18 degrees at like 15 psi. And like 23 at 10 psi.

this is for everybody, but 93turbo16 as well since he will be tuning my car. Would this pistons and an sc50 with a .48 hot side revving to 7500-8k make 300whp with these pistons or would it be getting a bit unsafe?

I guess I'll update, although I'm kinda reluctant since I had some problems...

I am currently at 13-14psi. I had a boost leak when I was tuning a couple weeks ago, so we never went past 13psi. I figured it out to be a crack in the manifold (another crack actually). I made about 211hp and around 200tq at 12-13psi. I fixed the leak, and turned up the boost a notch and the car ****** rips ***. I should be going back to get retuned for around 18psi within a couple weeks. I'll keep this updated

I'm at almost 6k miles on mine and about 16-17psi from my 14b. Still sounds the same and runs great. Once wideband is back the boost will go up and maybe i'll plan some dyno time for ignition work.
