First Look: Atheist 's Swapped && Boosted Urban Green '92
Having purchased late last fall and finishing it only just recently, it goes without saying that this project has been a LONG time coming. At the onset, I thought that I would make a budget turbo B hatch and paint it rattle-can camouflage. That certainly didn’t last as it wasn’t long before I was sending my paychecks to Lovefab, JDM Source, and many other distributors that sell parts a touch better than I could find at the junkyard. Still though, I paid for everything myself and I’ve remained debt free through the whole process, and having built it at 17 (I’ve recently turned 18 ) I don’t think I did half bad ;p Even though I’ve been rippin’ around in it a bit these past few weeks, I feel as though an official ‘unveiling’ of my civic is in order. Everyone has different ideas on how to build a car and I certainly heard them, but in the end it was my money so I did it how I wanted and it didn’t come out too bad I don’t think ;p I won’t claim to have done everything, but I sure did put enough sweat and heart into it. The foregoing being said, onto the specs…
Under the hood:
- Stock Block JDM B16 SiRII from HMO
- GSR Cams
- Energy Suspension mount Inserts
- Perfect condition B16 Transmission with a Mugen Clutch-Type LSD
- ATS Trans Fluid
- Lovefab Mini-Me EQ Turbo Manifold
- GT2871 Snail, internally gated and set to 10.5 PSI
- K&N Air Filter
- Lovefab 3’’ Down pipe
- KTeller Stainless Steel, Mandrel bent exhaust
- Magnaflow Straight 3’’ Straight Thru Muffler
- Lovefab 2.5’’ Aluminum Charge Piping
- Ebay bar and plate FMIC
- Tial BOV
- RC 550cc Injectors
- Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump
- Koyo Aluminum Radiator, Spoon Cap
Rolling Stuff:
- Tokiko Blues
- Skunk2 Coil Sleeves
- 95 JDM SiR Front Brakes
- JDM Endless Pads
- 15/16’’ Integra RS MBC
- Omni-Man front Camber Kit
- Rota Circuit 8’s
- Falken Azenis’
Inside Stuff:
- Completely gutted (rear seats, carpet, tar, headliner, etc etc)
- GSR Dash
- GSR Cluster
- Sparco Ultra driver seat
- Del Sol passenger Seat
- P06 Vtec Converted running Crome Pro
- B&M Edge shifter
Exterior:
- Painted Urban Green off of an 04 Z4
- Shaved molding holes (car is a DX)
- Stock everything else (mirrors, corners, etc etc)
To Do:
- Buff Paint
- Make interior look half decent (New civic floor mats, patch for climate control/cd player in dash etc)
The car is an absolute BLAST to drive – it’s faster than I ever imagined it would be. I haven’t been to the dyno, but when I street tuned it with a WB02 I also saw that reach full boost somewhere around 3800RPM. I hate lag, so that’s great for me. Despite the steps I’ve taken to try and solve the problem, traction is, well… an issue
I learned so much building it (how to assemble transmissions, how to install cams, etc etc). The funny thing that I hadn’t been expecting though is that I actually enjoyed the build more than I enjoy owning it. Part of it is that I don’t rip the car that hard or that much (partially because of how fast I’d be going if I did) but the main reason is that the build brought many challenges, many ups and downs (I nearly sold it once), and a fair amount of calling on friends for help where I couldn’t do something on my own. I’ve realized what fantastic buddies I have and how helpful some people are. Speaking of those people, some thank-you's are in order, in no particular order...
:: My cousin Hostie – For being an overall great buddy and a huge hand. Absolutely instrumental in the build and the color choice. Tell your dad I said thanks again for letting me use the heated garage during the cccccollddd weather!
:: Shu -- For helping me with the dash, clutch, and so on. Best wrenchin’ buddy… ever!
:: Luke – For the fantastic work on the motor run. Thanks a ton!
:: Peter – For the unending encouragement and help with the cam install. Oh, and for hanging out with my sister.
:: JDDC – For the paint hook up! Thanks dude, looks great, sorry for being on your nuts so much!
:: Pbomers – For the excellent work with tune-age and for the snaps
:: Michael – For the rig and the TT
:: Lance --- For being a great guy and the seat
:: Wired Speed Labs – SUPER fast shipment when I needed it!
:: The entire 075 for giving me a goal, cars to beat, some friends and some memories! Love you dudes <3
:: A giant, GIANT thanks to Cody and Rob and Lovefab Inc. I cannot begin to say how much they helped me out on the build. The work is top notch and Cody is an absolute pleasure to deal with, and I HIGHLY recommend them. I thought their prices to be very fair, but if you think that you’ve found a better deal I encourage you to spend the extra money and purchase from Cody – I’m so glad that I did! I would be more than happy to give specific examples or details if anyone would like – I’m THAT pleased.
:: Anyone who I forgot... I’m sorry! I really appreciate everyone’s help and encouragement, truly!

I'm interested in some feedback, and will be posting more shots at somepoint Thanks again everyone! Sorry for being so... verbose!
