Simple DRAG 3 Questions :)
My kit did not come with a gasket for the exhaust manifold and the turbo. Is that because I dont need it? If I need it where can i get one??
-My kit didn not come with a map bypass valve thing. Will my car run without it?
-Anyone who got the HKS Racing Blowoff Valve type II, which way do I turn the screw to soften or stiffen the spring? I cant read japanese, and all my friends are chinese :/
Thanx

I don't believe the Drag kits come with a gasket between the turbo and manifold.....OR the downpipe and manifold. I didn't use one and haven't experienced any leaks or problems.
The kit should have come with the basic "fishtank" type check valves. They're okay, but most people here prefer the Missing Link that you can get from http://www.importparts.com It's about $60 or something, and looks better.
I got the Super Sequential with mine, but I'm assuming that it goes the same way. Clockwise to tighten, and counterclockwise to loosen. Just a guess.

DRAG 3 kits don't require a gasket between manifold and turbo since both cast iron surfaces are machined true. I'm don't have a gasket and neither do any of my friends... none of us have had leaks. Turning the adjustment bolt on the BOV clockwise will stiffen spring.

So the map bypass valve that comes witht he drag kit is the same thing as a missing link? and just serves the purpose of making ur Engine check not coming on? I bought a used drag kit and it didnt come with either, but my car has run just fine+engine check

You will want to get a missing link. I just had an idle problem only when my car saw boost. you need the missing link to trick the map sensor into seeing boost. if not, after your car sees some boost, your idle will go irradic and a CEL will come on. when you then shut down your car and turn it back on again, the CEL will go away, and the idle will be normal. Your idle will only become irradic AFTER your car sees boost.
get the missing link and it will smoothen the transition into boost.
