What? NEver heard of it. I thought the DRAG kit bolts directly on with no clearance problems. Do I have to file my block too?

File? I never did have to file my block. I had to cut my fan shroud though. But a slimline fan will be on the order to replace that one

I got a T04x with my kit and I had to file my block because of the larger housing.

wow art. I didnt have to cut that much at all. I had to cut maybe a half inch deep over a length of an inch or so. I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel. Whittled that block down like butter.

Here's my grindage... Only clears my f-max <almost same turbo positioning> by 1/16th inch in many spots...

It was weird because on my car I didnt have to cut that much either, or even on the other drag kits Ive installed. This ITR have me so much head ackes it wasnt even funny. But it got done. But I tried to clock the turbo different ways and that was the best I could get it.

Only took me a few minutes with a Makita and cut off wheel, but I knew exactly where to remove material because I had marked the area with a permanent marker earlier while test fitting the turbo/man. assembly. If you dont want to shave the block you can order the kit with the T04B instead of the T04E...all B-series kits using the much larger T04E turbos require grinding the block.

OMG I just finished! 2 hours last night and an hour tonight of hardcore metal filing =D damn wish I had a dremel. I shaved more than arturbo. Why is that? oh well.......i feel so accomplished with a dead hand and dead forearms. Now for the oil pan.............
