Default questions on wiring inline fuel pump to stock relay and welding oil pan

Using a wire tap connector, connect the positive terminal of the fuel pump to pin 4 of the factory fuel pump main relay located underneath the dash board (the main relay is a gray box which clicks when the ignition is turned on). Note: you must use a minimum of 14-gauge wire to connect the fuel pump terminal and relay. Reconnect the negative terminal and turn key to ignition position two and check for any fuel leaks. Repeat the process 3-4 times. Note: when connected properly, the fuel pump will run for about a second and then shut off. If the fuel pump constantly runs after the ignition is turned on, then the fuel pump is tapped into the wrong pin -- disconnect wire and connect to pin 7.

ok so is there a wire where i can run a T-tap ? where is the relay located ? im guessing above the fuse box inside the car, and does anyone have a " PICTURE" i can look at ? and figure out which is pin #4 ? or pin #7.

question on the oil pan, what is the oilpan made out of?aluminum or steel ? or is it an alloy or something, what type of welder did you use on it, mig or tig, On artturbo's BRASS fittin from home depot, did they have any problems welding it because i hear brass is hard to weld onto steel ( i was assuming the oilpan was steel) . thanks guys

the pan is steel and some people find it hard to weld brass to steel. I brased(sp) it from the inside. Also, for the 5/8 flare to flare union, I had the threads on the inside machined off. Drilled a hole, slide it in and welded from the inside.
