Default Ignition problem w/ 1995 VTEC into 90 DX hatch

Ok, heres the deal, I just got done swapping a 1995 JDM VTEC 1.5 VTEC engine into my 1990 DX hatch using a complete 1991 CRX HF dash and engine wiring harness, OBD 0 to OBD 1 ECU adapter, cut and spliced OBD 1 plugs for the distributor, removed resistor box from system. Problem is this, when I turn the key to "Accessory" I get a nice fat spark to ground but as soon as I turn the car over I get no spark at all. Jumped the ecu and get Code 1, Heated O2 sensor which is all fine and good since I haven't wired that it yet, but no other codes come up at all. I have check, double checked and triple checked my wiring and everything checks out to spec. I have power to the heavy black/yellow dizzy wire as well. Anyone have any thoughts????

This may be a little random, but why did you use the HF wiring harness? You should have used your stock DX harness and rewired it for MPFI and OBD-I. Now it's going to be really hard to trace the problem. How did you get the engine harness to connect to the DX shock tower plugs? Did you switch it all out?

I used a complete uncut HF underdash harness from the headlights and turn signals to the fuse block. The harness is in perfect shape with no cuts or splices and all the Si harnesses I found were super expensive or chopped up thats the main reason I chose this one, besides that I just felt it would be easier and cleaner in the long run to use a factory harness setup. Not sure if this makes any difference but I tried swapping out the coil and PCM from a brand new dizzy I had layin around and I get the same result. Also, at first I could only get the single spark to occur on the #1 cylinder and since I changed out the PCM and coil I can only get it to occur on the #2 cylinder now. I'm thinking its something internal like the magnetic pickup assembly is bad otherwise one would assume it would either have spark and fire or have nothing at all.
