Default Exploited Racing strikes again!!!

I really wanted to give him a chance to redeem himself as i ordered 2 B series head flanges and 2 t3 flanges from him 3 weeks ago..well i get them yesterday and i wasn't suprised (after seeing the last thread) that they didn't come close to even fitting the head or matching up to the exhaust gasket...mind you i have been waiting 3 weeks for them and i can't even use them. I keep my patience and IM him asking whats up. Heres the conversation that ensued...(great customer service i have to add, I run the wholesale division of a parts room that does over 150K a month @ a Saab dealership and i would NEVER treat a paying customer like this..)

1:12 AM 12/18/2004) Mpir3: dude...these flanges aren't even close to fitting my gsr head. Im a very patient person but this is getting a little annoying. The $170 i spent with you may not be alot to you but as a college kid its a decent amount to me. I hope we can get this resolved as quick as possible as the manifold is the only thing holding my setup back
JEsse

(12:45 PM 12/18/2004) ExploitedRacing: OK... you ordered 2 Honda B-series flanges.. right???? And you recieved 2 Honda B-Series flanges... right???? Im sorry you ordered the wrong flanges, and its not exactly my fault. however. I will replace the flanges with whatever flanges you do need for free except shipping.

(1:10 PM 12/18/2004) Mpir3: I ORDERED 2 B SERIES FLANGES, I HAVE A B SERIES, THE FLANGES DON'T FIT, HOW IS THAT NOT YOUR FAULT? WOW

(1:15 PM 12/18/2004) Mpir3: the flanges don't fit because the bottom holes for the studs are no where close to anything straight, one hole sits about 1mm from the outside of the flange while the next hole is about 7mm's from the outside edge...its not even close. If you want to blame me for ordering the wrong flanges go ahead, i'll be glad to post pics of your quality CNC work. Ive waited 3 weeks and then this and still have the patients to not make this public...

(11:30 PM 12/18/2004) ExploitedRacing: thats how B-series flanges are... email me at GSXTboost@hotmail.com, and ill show you a comparison of my flange to a gasket for the B-Series from the dealership. What you have sounds like a D-Series flange where the holes are more strait on the bottom.

(1:01 AM 12/19/2004) Mpir3: well it doesn't come close to fitting my head and its a gsr head..doesn't match up to the exhaust mani gasket either.

(3:05 AM 12/19/2004) ExploitedRacing: What year and model car do you have?

(4:53 AM 12/19/2004) Mpir3: Its a OBD1 94 gsr head...i have a few mild flanges from BMC that fit it fine. I wanted to use stainless, thus my order from you. I will try it tomo on my friends D series head and see if it fits.

(5:13 AM 12/19/2004) ExploitedRacing: The flanges you have are B-series... your head might be a b20 head which is different from a normal B-series

I ordered some Mild Steel T3 flanges. The return time was quick(3 days or so which I was pretty happy with actually) but the actual product wasnt great as the flanges werent EXACTLY the same but were close enough not to make any fuss about it.

Im not sure if i would order from him again but id figure id throw in my experiance.

old school honda prelude b20A has a different flange other than that all B series flanges are the EXACT same thing.

on the B series heads. on the driverside the stud is lower than the passanger side. Just for your infomation.

O yea to answer why they sometimes have a slightly different inside/outside comparison is because when we first started cutting T3 flanges there was a little slack between the bolt holes and the bolts holding them down when cutting inside/outside, so when putting in another peice they couldve been off a few thousands... i made a new jig to ensure they each come out the same!

Well, you can either fix the problem or test Mpir3's competency. I am sure he would know if he had a GSR head or a nonvtec b20head. C'mon man, thats rude of you to make such an assumption and not trying your best to help solve the situation. Either you can make your crooked's straight or you can lose some business. I was considering you guys for some flanges, but I think I will wait this out to see what you do about this situation.

Well i guess i should say sorry for jumping on the assumption that he had the ordered the wrong part because i have used them before with no problems.. Its a quick permenent fix in autocad to change the program... nothin looks more than a few thousands off.

The reason i thought he had the wrong flange was because he said "one is about 1mm from the bottom while the other is about 7mm's" and that IS how a B-Series is, and he was saying it like thats wrong or something.. what the hell am i supposed to think?

You're supposed to assume that the customer is ALMOST always right and try to help him out any way that you can...

Im locking this thread pending your refunding the customer every cent he is owed. If this doesnt happen, Mpir3, let me know.

These past few threads will hopefully make you rethink how you do business. Now when people search for "exploited racing" this is what will come up...not good.
