Default Exploited Racing

I don't know if this is typical, but this is what happened. I gave him MANY chances to fix it.

Hi, I ordered a DSM turbine inlet flange on the 8th of this month via paypal from this same address (fastpst@gwi.net). I need to know the status of my order as my customer is waiting patiently for his manifold.

Thanks - Adam

Hey adam, we just finially made your flange today and will ship monday, i
appoligize for the wait on the flange but we were awaiting a large shipment
of steel to arrive.

-Brian-

NOV 30
Where is this flange? I thought it was shipped a week ago. If it hasn't
been shipped please promptly refund my paypal account. -Adam

DEC 3

Hi, what is the deal with my DSM turbine inlet flange. I have been waiting quite a while for it. If you have not shipped it please refund me my money ASAP -Adam

Ill check on it personally when i get to the shop later today, i been out
with the flu and usually im the guy who makes flanges and ships them but
havent been in, instead an employee of mine has been, and am assuming it
shipped already and everything but ill check when i get there. If it hasnt
shipped ill let you know and u can decide if you still want it or not.
sorry for the extended wait on my behalf.

-Brian-

Hey!

I noticed in Honda-tech that your signature says you produce turbo
manifolds. Just curious as to who your current flange supplier is and how
much you pay for what you get now. I would be able to supply you with higher
quality flanges if needed. We also do ceramic coating in our shop. Let me
know if your interested at all. Many other companys already trust our
flange quality, and we would love to have more!

-Brian

LOL RIGHT. I ordered a flange from you 30 days ago (11-8-04) and have not
recieved it. I have asked about it several times. Send it out now. -Adam

How about you go cut my DSM inlet, put it in an envelope and overnight it
(here tomorrow) and I don't post our series of e-mails on H-T. I don't make
my money on there, so I would feel good about letting other fabricators
about how you run your business. A month of excuses from you doesn't make
me look like any less of an *** to my customer. "we would love to have
more!" try earning them. -Adam

which flanges did you order? i know right now were stuck not getting
anything done because we have no end mills! Are you sure it was 30 days
ago? we havent been selling flanges that long even.

-Brian-

DEC 7

After putting some thought into it, my dad is also a machinest so i will see
if he can magically make an end mill disappear from his work and appear at
mine so i can get ur flange cut, because waiting for them to come in is
killing business right now.

-Brian-

----------Here I send all of the above e-mails including the checkout screen from his website-------------along with this>

I don't want to hear about your steel or your flu or your end mills. I want
my flange that I paid for 30 days ago. You HAVE been selling them that long
because I went to HMT, then your site and ordered it the day of the above
paypal transaction (the 8th) Honda-tech is a gold mine for someone like you don't **** it up. I want that flange tomorrow.

DEC 7

Wow, i am such a jackass. Ill send it tomorrow, no bullshit at all, and ill
even include 2 stainless steel T3 flanges 1/2" thick, threaded to 10x1.50
just to keep your business.

-Brian

The I get this on DEC 13

You know what bothers me the most about this thread??...

I hate it when businesses give excuses for poor service!

Don't give an excuse, just make things right! You shouldn't be in business if you can't handle your ****!

This company does not sound professional at all

Sorry... I just see so many shady businesses around these days...

I get all my flanges from BMC and he ships them out ASAP and has the best prices around.

Did I mention I have yet to find a better quality flange? His even have a recess cut for the piping to slide into (in the case of a 35mm dumptube flange or downpipe flange)

hmm, i've talked to Brian on MSN messenger a few times, seems to be a pretty cool guy. So far i've ordered 5 order t3 inlets flanges and they've arrived in 2 days. Quality on them, not too bad.

Currently im still waiting for 10 b-series headflange which I sent payment 3 days ago and a KA24 flange thats been on order for a couple weeks but I understand when shops run out of material and has to wait for more. I was told I should receive them by this friday so hopefully i'll see them

i am sorry, but i am getting a little sick of ordering performance stuff anymore. 90% of these companies do a terrible job and i am forced to put up with it on a dailey basis, and i have had enough. Even the big guns have let me down, titanmotorsports and others. PLus, if your running a business where you are fabricating parts, you don't run out of material, period. thats just absurd.

didnt someone start a website simply about reviews of companies they did business with? This seems like a great way to really figure out who is who and what the expereinces were... something SORELY needed in this industry, particularly since h-t doesnt have "feedback" like ebay or others

Ok... so lets handle this like a mature adult. He recieved the flange.. didnt like the quality, but at the same time... never contacted me about it.

Doesnt sound right to me at ALL. If you have a problem with it. email me. I will replace it if its all that bad, i personally dont make all the flanges myself, I have a newer employee on the mill and if here and there a flange gets out looking like that tell me, i have no problem replacing it with a "good" one for free.

Problem solved.

O yea... not to mention the T3 flange is a $22.50 flange, that he got for FREE for his wait.

The quality of the flange is hardly the issue. I welded it on the manifold last night and it worked fine.

E-mail is NOT an effective method of communicating with you as I have clearely illustrated in my first post. You are missing the point entirely.

Seems to me it was handled adult like.. he e-mailed you several times, and your word was broken more than once, due to "reasons" **cough** excuses**cough** and then he came on here to let others know and find out if any similar problems existed.

I think you should just admit you f'ed up and apologize... probably the best way to keep some business. Trying to make yourself STILL look good in the end actually makes you look worse.
