How To: JDM EF Fogs on USDM Front
Did this a long time ago on my CRX, but figured I'd post it up to help ppl out that want to have them on their car.
Tool's:
I don't remember them all off hand, but they are all pretty basic stuff.
PLEASE REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST, ALWAYS USE COMMON SENSE, AND REMEMBER EYE PROTECTION
Alright first things first. Go ahead and take your front bumper off along with the Bumper support and all that good stuff. (if you don't know how to do this please search)
Next up your going to look right below your headlights and see this:
Don't worry about the red circles that are in the pic yet. We will get to that later.
Next we have a pic of the fog light and the bracket so that it can mount up to the car with.
I don't know what the top part is for and it really doesn't help as far as mounting on to the car so go ahead and take that section off like so: (I used a grinder to do so)
Also the red line above in the pic cut that part off. I don't have a pic, but its just so you can fig your turn signal bulbs back in once its all put back together.
Now that you have both the brackets cut and the bumper off look back at this pic that was posted first:
Now the where the red circles are is where you bolt up the bracket to. I only had the top bolts on my car and for the bottom bolt I just found some I had lying around that fit and worked great. If you don't have any, stop by your local hardware store and pick a few up.
I also had some Rustolium paint around the house so I resprayed the brackets where I had cut so they in time would not rust.
Here is what it should look like now:
You can sorta see the red line in the pic above I had to go back later and cut mine because I didn't do it the first time and couldn't get my turn signal bulbs back in. So just make sure yours is cut.
Alright next we need to cut out the fog light hole so these things can fit down in there on the bumper. There is a line on the back of the bumper that you can follow to cut it out with. I just used a dremel.
No before pic but here is one of the after shot:
In the above pic you see the red line you also need to cut that out for the bottom of the fog to fit to in there.
A pic barrow from a friend of the bottom cut out. (Since I didn't have any on hand):
Next your probably thinking how is these fogs going to fit on the brackets with the bumper support in the way as seen below:
Well as you can probably guess we gotta do some more cutting. The pic above of the rear shot should give you a pretty good idea of what needs to be cut so we can get this to work.
Here is a pic of what needs to be cut next. I used the grinder again:
The cut on the left is just fine, but my cut on the right I needed to cut off more to where I put the red line. I later went back and fixed it because it had a clearance issue. So cut where the red line is on the right. Do a the same type of cutting on the other side of the X-Member.
Should look like this, but cut where the red line is:
next do the same to the foam so it will work. I just used a steak knife to cut this up.
Okay, next put the X-member and foam back on the front bumper and bolt it up to the car.
Pics above you can see my lower cut I made to in the bumper for the fogs to fit
Here is a pic of the bracket. If yours is close or doesn't fit right you can take your bumper off and go back and cut more off if needed.
Once you have it all fitting right how you like it and nothing is touching (so it wont squeak) bolt the front bumper on.
Next put the fogs in the fog holes and bolt them up to the bracket through the front bumper light hole. So they look like this:
Put your bumper signal on now. Looks like this:
Do the other side and then your pretty much done all except for wiring. I picked up a JDM fog light switch from http://www.jdmpartz.com.
I then just got a fog light harness kit from my local AutoZone and wire it up that way.
Pics of the fogs on the car (Sorry none lit up):
Questions? Please post up and I will do my best to answer.

Great write up!
AS far as it goes for the hatchback it should be really similar considering there is also cutting lines on the back side of the bumper for fog lamps.

Re: How To: JDM EF Fogs on USDM Front (HatchBox)
Hmm, cool beans, with a jdm front there's a lil bit of an easier way to do this.
But I don't have time to go step by step, good info
