Yep, just read it tonight. Great stuff, Bryan. Couldn't have given press to a nicer guy, and better competitor in the paddock!

I punted about half hour ago. Took the entire center console out, can't get a screwdriver on the "right" screws but I know they're there. Bastards.
Did get the wiring harness for the new head unit all soldered up and heat shrunk and color-coordinated (and labeled) so as soon as I can get some daylight, we'll see how good Crutchfield's instructions actually are.

For about 3 years now, shugg and I have been going back and forth on fastest laps... He has be now that his mustang is in the 1:23.5 at summit, me still in the 24's..
I think I have him at VIR north though.... Can't remember..
Anyways, couldn't give a better writeup on a better person!

Glad you guys liked it, Shugg was a great interview and one of the nicest guys I've ever met; how many people would encourage you strap into their racecar on the same day they met you? Awesome car, awesome guy.

Re: OT-GRM ARTICLE OH SHUGG (o-man)
Guys - been a while since I logged onto H-T. Sorry for the lapse in participation. This site is one of the best in the biz of internet car-stuff and I should be tarred and feathered for not visiting more often.
O-man opened the floor for me, but I hope this next part doesn't get boring...
Thanks so much for the kind words guys - it means a lot to me that I got a dedicated post in your little (ok, LARGE) corner of the world wide web. The friends I have made in schools and racing over the last several years are some of the best people on the planet. A large portion of those friends come from this community - you Honda guys aren't half bad for only having 1/2 the cylinders. (kidding... you know I r-e-s-p-e-c-t my Honda brethren)
I still haven't seen the article and I'm totally erked that my GRM copy hasn't showed up yet. Jeesh - you'd think Scott would be able to pull some strings or something. (kidding... please don't stop circulation as I want a copy still...) I'm excited (understatement) to see it.
While GRM Scott is here, I want to thank him for the level of professionalism he extended to me during this process. Scott is a great writer, a certified racecar nut, and stand-up guy. I'm far from experienced with this stuff and Scott made the process VERY easy on me. And... just as H-T ain't half bad, Scott is no slouch behind the wheel of a racecar. The lap times he clicked off at SP prove it...
Again, I'm very grateful for the kind remarks. See you guys in '05. Anyone wanting some W2W action sooner, come out to Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte this Friday (Nov 12) at 5:00PM. There's a bunch of us going there for braggin' rights.
Shugg
PS. Corey - no worries. I have full confidence that after a few sessions in my car, you'd be deep in the 1:22's, along with most of you other 4-banger momentum loving fools (O-man, Jason...).

Re: OT-GRM ARTICLE OH SHUGG (Shugg)
Shugg, you're one of the best reasons why we keep doing this! Humble as hell, but fast enough to put better cars back on the porch, and safe to go along with it. If things go well next year, you may have the opportunity to blow my doors off again

I'll get you a stack of 'em, don't worry! We just got our bulk shipment in; check your HT-IM or your work email.
And the writing part is easy when I've got several pages of great quotes. You did most of the writing for me in that interview, thanks for the marathon cellphone session.
And thanks again for the stint behind the wheel of the 'stang, it's pretty damn quick for not having VTEC y0.
