Falken at SEMA new azenis release?
Came across this picture. Seems to me Falken knows one target market for the azenis as the car is a Civic Si. Who thinks they'll pull away those covers and show exactly what the new azenis will look like?

I went to sema today, and I'm holding the brocure in my hand for these tires. They're called the Azenis RT-615, and that is exactly what they look like. They uses light weight nylon sidewalls instead of steel (like the old azenis sport), and the tread compound is not supposed to get greasy when they heat like the sport does. The tech rep was telling me that they can be mounted with the large blocks on the inside of the rear rims to help produce oversteer for drifting or race tuning. They are aysemetrical and non directional, so you can rotate them front to back and side to side, and the sidewall is supposed to be as stiff (if not more) as the sport.

So who thinks 225/50/15 might be too big for an Si. especially on a 7" wide rim. I mean it'll fit but I'd have to guess you say bye-bye to your fender liners.
Nice job on the info gathering.

Definitely have my eye on the 225's for 15's. I wonder if the price will be the same.

Wow, they're pretty different than the information that I got from Falken's customer service about a month or so ago! I personally welcome the 225/50/15 size as long as it's still $60-70 a tire! :D But is this the entire line or just the additional sizes that Falken is bringing in on top of the current sizes of tires? Everything that I've heard talking via e-mail to the Falken rep is that they're keeping the same sizes and adding more to the line.

Re: Falken at SEMA new azenis release? (Xian)
Any word from Toyo yet on the T1-S replacement, the T1-R?
http://www.toyojapan.com/new_tires/proxes_t1r/
They've got lots of good sizes: 225/40/14, 215/45/15, 225/40/16, 245/35/16, etc. Would be great to get those here!!!
