My DIY ground wires
I put this in appearance/cosmetic cuz the "performance aspect" of this "mod" is very small haha.
So I finally got around to making my ground wires. I modeled it after the Sun Auto Hyper Ground kit. I made the wires the same length out of 4awg stinger power cable. The only way to crimp the gold connectors is with a vice. I should have soldered it, but it was too tough. I tried heating it up with a blow torch, but even after 30 seconds it wasn't even hot enough to melt the solder. And the rubber insulation was starting to burn. So I just left it.
My connections are as follows.
1. shock tower to negative battery post
2. negative battery post to transmission
3. transmission to intake manifold
4. intake manifold to valve cover
5. valve cover to radiator support
Results? I haven't really driven it around yet. But I did start it up. It might have started up quicker, but it also could be all in my head. I'll see if it fixes my flickering headlight problem.

Re: My DIY ground wires (Veritek)
Nice write up on that. YOu need to get the nicer battery terminals from Stinger though. They look way better and cleaner. My 2 cents.

It was really hard to find the gold connectors with BLACK only covers. I finally found them at http://www.autotoys.com

They dont' have stellar service. I'm in so cal, and it took forever for them to process my order, and shipping took awhile too. I think overall it took 3 weeks from the time i ordered it until i received it.

Re: (soundbomber)
So, would copper wires be best for this? Usually some DIY wires that can be find at any wire shops / audio shops / etc? I preffer local parts for DIYers..
Im thinking about redoing all of my stock ground cables, and get something a little more new and better. Any suggestionns?

Smooth idle. That wouldn't be too noticable right now for me. Won't matter once I get my cam.
Smoother acceleration. Can a DX's acceleration get any damn smoother. It's like slowing buttering corn on the cob knowing your sister is waiting for you to be done with the butter.
