Default Nissan powered Civic 1500S project

Some friends and I began to tear into a pretty wild project this week. The plan is to put a SR20DET in an '85 Civic 1500S. (The motor in the picture is an RB25DET)The entire motor will be located behind the existing firewall. Where the stock motor was, there will be an intercooler, radiator, fuel cell, and nitrous bottle. The new driveshaft will be about 8 inches long.

We're hoping to have the motor hung by the end of October, and I'll continue to post pics as work progresses.
The first two pics are just teasers.

The seat get's moved back about 10 inches, and the pedalbox will be right next to the turbo downpipe. Some sort of insulating material will keep the driver's shoes from melting.

edit: Yes I do indeed need a haircut.

For some reason that reminded me of Police Academy when High Tower ripped out the front seats of the car and sat in the back to drive.

You better get a scatter shield and one of those transmission blankets. I can only imagine the abuse that car will take, and you picking shards of metal out of your ***.

sounds like you'll have your hands full. good luck.

is there gonna be any type of sheild around the motor? my concerns would be the heat the motor would produce and something breakin and hurting the driver.
