LAMIN-X ITA/H4 Honda CRX SI is for sale!
I'm reposting from the other thread, but not every racer looks there. So here it is...

The car has only been race for 3 seasons with maybe a total of 10 to 12 race weekends. It was originally yellow with a green cage but that now has change to S2000 silver. The engine compartment remains yellow. Also, the car has never been on a frame machine nor been hit but it has "bump draft" at Daytona I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it is my belief that what sets my racecar apart from others are 3 things:
1. The cage. Custom cage with NASCAR door bars and the prettiest welds you'll ever see.
2. I'm almost 6'3'' at 250 lbs. You can sit in the car and won't find a bar near you or your head.
3. By far, on of the cleanest around.

Trust me, I'm not getting out. I just decided to build another car. The wife isn't too happy about it since building the CRX was so expensive to begin with and now I'm doing it again. Oh well :D
Oh by the way, I see you drive a 2001 Diesel Excursion. How do you like it? I'm about to trade/sell my wife BMW 540i 6spd for one. You know, getting ready for the pimping "enclosed" trailer!

$8300???
Wow. Its a friggin buyers market. Thats for damned sure.
Folks, if you are thinking of buying, buy now. I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but I've NEVER seen so many good cars go so cheap.
Will Perry's multiple championship winning ITC car is now posted on IT.com for $5000.
Scott, who supposes he'd just store his or turn it into a DE instructor ride rather than sell it right now (If I couldn't afford to race...).

Re: (ITACRX)
I've seen the car and been lapped by it! It is possibly the best built CRX I have ever seen! And the cage itself is nothing short of artwork!
I pitted across a path from it and Richie and his bro took GREAT care of it! Someones gonna spend the $$ and get a deal!
Best of luck to you on anything you do in the future!

Well not to take your own thread too far astray, but you *did* ask Get ready as I've become a bit of an Excursion geek.
Getting the Excursion was among the most satisfying and good decisions I've ever made. If you need a tow vehicle with an SUV style body, go get one. Just know you'll have to spend a little extra to make it handle like it should.
If you buy used you'll need to replace the shocks. The stock ones are crap. Get Bilsteins from shox.com for under 300 shipped to your door and smile. You'll also want to get the Hellwig rear swaybar. Best $130 I spent on the truck. Takes it from a wallowing beast to actually quite well-handling for its considerable size and weight.
I have towed up to a 24' (I think...not mine) enclosed trailer with a 1000 pound sports racer and some spares, probably 6000lbs. Equipped as above and apart from a change in straight line acceleration from a red light, and from how long it holds a gear, I had absolutely no idea the thing was back there.
Around town empty I get 18mpg. Highway empty as high as 21. Towing at a good 80-85mph my GS-R on an open trailer (probably 4500lb or so) I got 13.5mpg. At 85 miles per hour.
It's well built, it's got great seats, a killer air conditioner and stereo, storage space for days, and...yeah. If you can't tell, I love it.
Lastly, search this forum for a thread called "diesel towing" started by tnord. There ended up being a lot of good information there.

Everyone, thanks for kind words. Whoever ends up with the car, they should be extremely happy with it. I know I have been. Also, thanks for the info on Excursion. The more I think about it, the more right decision I think it is. Thanks again everyone!

Seems to be a sellers market right now, I think it is a combination of people finding new projects and tuition alteast going up for me (economy reasons), anyway good luck on selling looks like a nice rex and a great deal Who did you cage by the way?

Re: LAMIN-X ITA/H4 Honda CRX SI is for sale! (trigun7469)
The cage was done by Racecar Engineering in Winter Park Florida. They specialized in roundy round cars but they knew their stuff when it came to fabrication. The bad part for me is that the place was sold and relocated. So, on my next car, I'll be shopping for a fab place again. No returning customer discount

I remember looking over the build pictures of this car when I first started the build on #4. Damn, that was a long time ago. Why couldn't you have just sold it to me then?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be attending the ARRC, not as a driver but as a crew. So, if someone was interested in the car, I could arrange delivery at Road Atlanta. Just, FYI.

Re: (slammed_93_hatch)
FYI, the trailer is no longer part of the deal, just the car. Also, the car is advertise in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine.
If you wanted know why. Well, its because my funds are going to run way short in buying an enclosed trailer. So, I'm keeping my trailer.

Thanks man. I just can't believe the CRX is still in garage. FYI, I miss the dead line for the next issue of Grassroots Motorsports, but it will be in the next two for the super low price of $7,000.00. Now, seing how OPM has their car at $22k and others at $14k, I think I have a good chance at selling it. We will see.
