Anyone eles take the test? i have to take the test at the end of the month and wanted to know if there is anything eles i could study other than the book they sent me. Thanks

I've already done most of this process.

The logical reasoning test mainly deals with what you would assume is right to do in certain law enforcement situations, as if you didn't have any prior federal law enforcement experience.
The logical reasoning test is pretty much good nature common sense in a law enforcement point of view.

If you already fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish, you would be taking the Spanish Proficiency Test, but if not, the Artificial Language Test is what you should be trying to read up on, because that was kind of a bitch.

Good luck though, once you pass that stuff, you will get a letter in the mail giving you your score via a rating number. Based on that number (above 70) you will be given a Tentative Offer of Employment and a crap load of stuff to complete in a relatively short time to complete. Then after you send that stuff off, they will schedule your medical exam, fitness test and your oral board interview.

If you pass all that stuff, then you get a final job offer letter. At this time it may take up to 180 days for all the stuff to be reviewed, approved and then they send a letter with a final offer of employment. You take it and off to New Mexico for the academy.

I'm in the final stage, I just got a letter this morning saying that I need to send my military medical records to the Dept of Homeland Security, so I guess they need them to make sure that my previous injury doesn't affect hiring me.

Anyways look up alternative practice tests for logical reasoning and artificial language. You will be fine.

How many points do they give you for being in the military as well having PTSD will that mess it up for me?

OT: If you think about becoming a border patrol officer, its not a good idea to announce it or even let anyone know, Its best to hide it. Mexican drug dealers/lords offer money for any murdering of border patrol officers.

The job title is Agent, not officer. This is not a piddly ticket writing job. This is a Federal Agent Position.

Unless, you already claim and receive a disability, you will only get a 5 point veterans preference.

College Degree

or

minimum GS-5 Government Employment Experience (military or law enforcement preferred)

or

combination of college and Government Employment Experience

Having PTSD will only affect you, if you haven't been cleared of it or being treated for it currently with a health care provider.
