Choke slammed in a pizza parlor - Honda-Tech

My friend and I ordered a pizza for pickup and they told us it'd be ready at 9:10. At 9:10 we go to pick up the pizza, they tell us ten more minutes, we pay for the pizza and leave. 10 minutes later we're back to pick up the pizza but another employee tells us we have to pay for it, we tell him we already paid for it and it goes back and forth for a bit. I am frustrated and I just want my pizza so I pick it up off the counter and tell my friend we already paid for it so BFD just leave. I made my stride halfway to the door and the guy jumps over the counter, puts me in a chokehold from behind and slams me to the ground. No verbal warning or anything just the slam. When I got up he was already behind the counter. I am like starking raving pissed that I just got slammed by a ****ing pizza man and start making a scene, all the customers even the other employees were like WTF did this guy just choke slam him for. The other employee tell the guy to look on the order screen where it says MY NAME & PAID. They pay for the pizza and we leave. I called the police and he is getting charged with assault. Can I sue him or the pizza place since he was under there employment?

Wow, he just choke slams you out of no where? That ain't right, dude needs help and hopefully the court will make him take counseling. I'd sue the employee as well. I am glad you are alright but you may want to go see a doctor just to be sure you're 100%. You said the pizza place basically gave you a free pizza? That's good, I hope they fire his dumb ass,he needs to be locked up.

I have no idea what his beef was

I didn't get to fight him I wanted to but he was behind the counter already so I'm trying to explore the legal path lol.//

What took place was assault. It is a crime, it should be dealt with in a legal setting.

Sadly, as I've found out, you either have to pull something like this, or have a four page complaint written outlining over a half dozen reasons somebody can sue because of one employee's bullshit, with plenty of rhetoric to get somebody fired from a place like this where the GM doesn't give a shit about anything but WoW. Apparently pizza places not only hire hardened criminals that just got out of prison(for 11 years), they like to promote dropouts with juvenile correctional facility tenure and anti-social disorder. But yeah I would agree that the asshat needs counseling and to spend some time in the slammer; hopefully somebody he bunks will chokeslams into the concrete floor about 9 times consecutively

so my store director at albertsons has a history of violence, one day someone stole a 30$ bottle of vodka, he gets away with it, someone sees it, tells "ed" and ed runs out the store, sees the guy several hundred feet away getting in his car, seconds later ed" runs up tackles the theif to the ground.
