Limewire failure. - Honda-Tech

I used to download songs for private use off of Limewire and never had any problems.

Last week I downloaded the latest version of Limewire and have not been able to even search for songs.

I'll start Limewire and the status bar on the lower right of the screen will only get one green bar no matter how long I wait.

Any Ideas will be appreciated guys.

Try on the top corner, File I think, then disconnect and connect again.

Try it a few times, if it doesn't work, uninstall and download again.

Some Limewire can't connect anymore, such as mine. I now use Frostwire. It's a mirror-program of Limewire and works great.

lol i still use limewire sometimes. i mostly use torrents if i want the discovery or full album and movies. but limewire if i want a specific song. i might opt out and get the zune pass for 15 bucks a month and save my time on converting and this and that but not sure yet.

i've been using soulseek for a good 6 or 7 years and it's been pretty damn good for getting music

my isp keeps disabling my connection for using torrents.

i have to either reset it, or call my isp. is there any way around this? proxy? i don't know jack about proxys. can anyone help me out?

who's your isp? i've never had a problem using torrents or using p2p networks for that matter. as far as i know time warner and at&t don't cut your service for using torrents.

happened to me on my pc....couldnt fix it..the reinstall didnt work....just downloaded it on my macbook and worked fine....i guess macs are better haha

Your "high speed" connection is shared by other people in your nrighborhood. A set amount of BW. People who use Torrents tend to use up a majority of this BW so the cable internet providers cap it.

This is one of many reasons cable blows.

Ding Ding Ding, I think we have a winnar. Limewire has started to act funny ever since I went from verizon DSL to Comcast "High Speed".

Any suggestions on what I should do?
