anyone tried the iron gym door bar yet? Any pro or cons about it compared to the other door bars in the market.

I dont see how you could go wrong for $30, I wouldn't mind having one.

I have a rope I pull my self up in my backyard on a tree but I dont like to do it because If I fail I have to drop about 8' and my feet can barely handle a 2' drop.

That thing looks kinda suspect, how much weight does it support, more like how much weight can my old ass door frame support. Hey but for $30 plus shipping give

In my old house down in my basement I drilled two small holes in two support beams and hanged chains through the holes. Then I used an old school barbell and put it through the chains. It worked out great and supported more then 500lbs.
(My 280lbs friend didn't think it would hold If I get around to it I will do a write up on it because I'm itching to put another one up in my new basement.

*Let me know how the iron gym workouts I'm real interested*

Ok , just got it. Came in a small box unassembled. Took 5mins to assemble, and all the tools were included (allen key/wrench). I was also leary about it ripping out my door frame, and they do warn about weak door frames. But I was more concerned with the backside pushing throught the drywall, but to my releif almost all of the pressure is put on the front woodwork, which even in an old house, should hold up fine. The one thing I wish was different was the fact that I have to bend my legs when doing pull ups, which I knew I would comeing into this, so its no big deal. So unless you are a giant and have huge door ways, or you are a midget with standard door ways, be prepared.

Anyways for the $50 I payed (leg raise straps and fast shipping) im very pleased with it.

Oh ya BTW im 6'1 190lbs just for reference

yeah, I'm worried about it ruining the walls where it mounts to. So it holds up nicely w/o breaking the dry wall?
