Default Looking for feedback and CC (56k?, i didnt think so)

hello all, my name is stephen. i am new to honda-tech and thought i would introduce myself in this forum. i am pretty pleased in general with my photography but would like some thoughts on ways to improve my pictures of cars. The Import Alliance 2008 meet was my first attempt at shooting cars, and the pics below are all from there. I look forward to seeing your thoughts and advice. Thanks.

-stephen

edit: a few of these pics have been further edited and are on my website - http://www.red5photo.com - but I am at work and can't upload them at the moment...LOL. Stunna Ben, the first pic is for you.....

I like your first pic - especially after seeing the car in color Really though, I think you captured a quality of the light at that moment very well in that pic. The tank top and towel have some good subtle highlights

Disclaimer: I'm partial to b&w pics

i really like the 1st shot! dang!

nah, really, watch the backwards slants if you use the curves palette and if you use the saturation, watch it at your own comfort level, no one elses!

have fun bro, and thanks again for hitting me up

read that manual over and over.

i agree with ben and that one and also the 1st b&w pics is flat, I would go in and tweak it a lil more to get the blacks and white to pop a lil more. good start tho.

i tweaked it a bit, somewhat subtley to get the high and lows to be more crisp. i appreciate the constructive criticism, it is exactly what i was looking for. i would especially love to hear thoughts on my car specific pics since this was my first run at it. thanks again!

LOL. Oh well, I like the updated pic of Ben better so it was good to do anyway. I haven't tweaked the bridge pic since i first edited it so perhaps i will revisit it. Any thoughts/suggestions on the car pics?
