hello all, my name is stephen. i am new to honda-tech and thought i would introduce myself in this forum. i am pretty pleased in general with my photography but would like some thoughts on ways to improve my pictures of cars. The Import Alliance 2008 meet was my first attempt at shooting cars, and the pics below are all from there. I look forward to seeing your thoughts and advice. Thanks.

i have some portriat work ( i primarily shoot candid portraits with natural light) some artistic work and i have shot 1 wedding. i can post some here later or you can check out my site....www.red5photo.com.
thanks for your comments. i would love to hear what you like/dislike, favorite pic, etc. i am hoping for lots of feedback since i hope to shoot alot more cars in the future and the pics in this forum seem to be pretty good on average. Modified by wago_stephen at 1:22 PM 8/29/2008 |

I like your first pic - especially after seeing the car in color
Really though, I think you captured a quality of the light at that moment very well in that pic. The tank top and towel have some good subtle highlights Disclaimer: I'm partial to b&w pics |

i really like the 1st shot! dang!
nah, really, watch the backwards slants if you use the curves palette and if you use the saturation, watch it at your own comfort level, no one elses! have fun bro, and thanks again for hitting me up read that manual over and over. |

i tweaked it a bit, somewhat subtley to get the high and lows to be more crisp. i appreciate the constructive criticism, it is exactly what i was looking for. i would especially love to hear thoughts on my car specific pics since this was my first run at it. thanks again!

LOL. Oh well, I like the updated pic of Ben better so it was good to do anyway. I haven't tweaked the bridge pic since i first edited it so perhaps i will revisit it. Any thoughts/suggestions on the car pics?

ok, i finally had time to sit with the bridge pic. very minimal adjustments here but the black is more rich now.....
