Default Had a Minolta slr in the garage...

This weekend I went to santa barbara to get away for a few days and I bought a classic konica S2 for 8 bucks to mess around with.

When it hit me, my dad has a old Minolta. I go get it stored in the garage still in mint condition XG-1 is what its called. has a 45mm prime on it.

It actually had a roll of film still in it! I'm excited to see whats in there. Lenses are so cheap I think I might start a little collection and practice with it...

Anyone else have a minolta?

yea, I've been looking around trying to get a few lenses for it I should have it running with a few lenses in a week or two. I'm gonna go buy new batteries and give it a full detail tonight

I think I'm more excited to use the film then when i got my canon. lol.

I'll post pics later on tonight hopefully.

But who knows how long that camera has been sitting in the garage with that roll of film? And under what kinds of conditions as far as temperature and humidity? Not to be discouraging, but anything that IS on that film could very well end up looking like garbage. Film just does not keep well in the long-term unless it is stored under cool and dark conditions.
