I have a firewire capable PC to transfer, would prefer not to deal with tapes, and would like a High Definition unit.

If any of you have experiences that you'd like to share, please do. Any recommended places to purchase would be great as well (I'm not talking about Best Buy, CC, or Sears...looking more to the online retailers that offer a good price and decent service if there is a problem initially).
