If it's anything like at&t's service you will need a tethering plan. I have no idea what sort of access point names Sprint uses. After that though, you just download a communication manager. I imagine Sprint would have one. You can probably find it on there website.

After that, just connect the device to the machine and try and connect via the communication manager.

Not sure if the menus are similar at all, but on my Sprint Motorola Q9c, under the main menu, there is a system file named "Internet Sharing". That's it. Just choose if you want to connect to the PC via USB or Bluetooth, and hit the connect button.

AT&T will let you turn on Internet Sharing and tether your PDA as long as you're not drawing so much data that it gets their attention.

I don't know how to turn on Internet Sharing on a Blackberry, but it's very easy on a Windows Mobile PDA like the Q9 Global.

Your speeds will be better of you let them know you're tethering, but your 29.99 personal PDA plan will turn into a 60.00 tethering/professional plan. :-)

No. But since you're hard-wired to your computer and you have whatever Windows firewalls you already have on your computer, there is usually no security issue.

I don't know how to turn on Internet Sharing with a Blackberry, though.

I do not believe that blackberries can share their Internet connection......

you have to enable sharing on the PC that has the blackberry connected to it

fastest is USB connection to blueberry although you can BT it to a PC, that is just plain slow

the 8120 has no options to act as a wireless access point and I would guess that it is the same for the 8130 or other models
