I bought an 08 Malibu in February. It was my first purchase after college and my credit was in the 600s now that I have Credit in the 700s I would like to refinance. My current rate is 8.9%. Do you guys have any experience refinancing? What is the best way to to this; shopping around banks?

Check your local bank or credit union for the current rates they have. With your credit in the 700's you should have no problems refiing

Check http://www.bankrate.com for the best rates in the nation.

Capital one has a auto refi department and last i checked had some decient rates. so look them up too..

Also something to consider, if you ow more on the loan that what they new bank will refi for you will have to make up the difference so inquire with the current lender and see how much is still on the loan and then shop around to see what you qualify for.
