Sony VAIO VGN-FJ270 LCD Problem HELP« » Reply  Edit

So my computer LCD started to mess up, it starts to turn white from the corners towards the middle, but when I apply pressure to the top left corner of the LDC bezel it works fine.
My question is, is it possible to fix a problem like this without replacing the LCD?
I think that the laptop was dropped but not sure.
Thanks.

If it's still under warranty have them replace it.

If not, you MIGHT be able to fix it yourself if a connection is loose.

Taking apart a laptop's LCD screen is a lot easier than you might think. Look up your exact model's instructions or just figure it out and check all the cables. If all the cables are fine then it's most likely the lcd screen itself that's going out.

I'm going to try to fix it tonight.
I opened already but the back part of the LCD has some plastic cover glued to it, I stopped there but since it doesnt have warranty Im going all out on it today.
Hopefully is only a loose connector

Look out for small rubber plugs all around the bezel. Take those off with a knife/small screwdriver and you can see screws.
