I just bought a Samsung Blast to replace the one I submerged in water

The original one I bought back last year in August was made in Korea. Now the one I bought was made in China with Korean and foreign components. Should I be worried?

I know Samsung did this to most likely save some money as any company would probably do.

I know I could get insurance but the thing is when I started my account with ATT I didn't get insurance ( Azurion - also T-mobile uses ) with them.

I should've checked earlier prior to my leaving the T-mobile ( corporate ) store but as soon as I got there, they closed. An hour early matter of fact

I went to Best Buy to see if they had some and the remaining ones they had were also made in China as well. I spent $200 and want to make sure this doesn't get f4cked up. I know I could've got one off ebay but I needed one ASAP as I can't stand my RAZR2

Thanks

yah thats how samsung does it. same thing with most of their lcd monitors...first batch uses their sweet in house panels, then shortly thereafter they start using panels from various other manufacturers. quality control seems pretty good though, only people doing photo work and stuff seem to notice the difference.

I'm gonna feel like such a prick when i call/visit those t-mobile stores asking to look for Blasts specifically made in Korea and not China. I'm not trying to be a prick, I spent $200 on the bloody thing

Would you do the same thing as me?

i dont know about phones, but tons of people were jumping through hoops trying to get a 22" 226bw lcd with the S-panel...returning orders and looking through best buys inventory heh. personally i wouldnt bother, but you certainly arent alone in trying to get a specific version of a product, im sure it happens all the time in retail.

yeah i've been to 2 Best Buys already. Add to that the t-mobile ( corporate ) stores don't have it. At least i learned something new in that in back of phone just below the IMEI it states year/month it was made ie 07.07
