Major Issues With Outlook 2007« » Reply  Edit

Here's the issue: when I install Office 2007 Enterprise and open Outlook for the first time, it will last a few mins then crash. If I try to open the program again I instantly get "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working", and that is all.

If I "Repair" Office 2007 nothing changes. If I do a full removal and reinstall of Office 2007 I can get it to open before it crashes again.

Weird thing is this: On a fresh install I can open Outlook in SafeMode and it's fine. But if I close the application and try to open it normally, I get the damned "stopped working" message. Then a full install has to happen again.

At first I thought it was my CD or somehow a faulty program from the factory, but I used the same CD and installed Office 2007 on my lap top (both system running Vista) and it works flawlessly. I'm truly stumped.

The only thing I can think of is that my desktop has some faulty reg. key files or something. If you have any input I'd appreciate it, this has been killing me. All other programs from Office 2007 work 100%.

I've searched the web and nothing has helped. Maybe someone here has some input.

When you have an Outlook corruption, try a program called "scanpst.exe" It corrects corruptions in your outlook PST data file and fixes it.
