so i just moved into a new house and what do you know i need a new computer desk. i first thought about getting a nice table but now im thinking of going extreme! i have a lot of wood working, metal fabrication and electrical experience but no ideas. anyone have and ideas? cool pictures? i have 4 monitors if that helps

I have a buddy that uses DOORS as desk surfaces.
He also used saw horses as legs, but I am sure you can find something more elegant then that. IKEA actually has a really good selection of legs that you could use.

If you get the hollow honey comb doors or whatever they are, they are actually pretty strong and don't flex much.

im really loooking to do something a little more exotic. "a work of art"

sure i could go out and buy a nice computer desk but i dont want to do that. its not the money, in fact that would prob be cheaper. im looking to do the entire room not just the desk. i have access to a mig, tig welders and i have quite a bit of wood working experience, at the moment im lacking imagination.

some pictures would really be great but i just dont know what to search for,,,
