I have a Motorola Q9h (Global) that I use in the field sometimes.

I was using Call Firewall, which WM Smartphone people will know about. However, you'll also be aware that unless you disable Call Waiting, the call waiting signal from a blocked call will cause you to drop a call already under way.

I'd rather have the ability to use call waiting, so I bought Efficasoft's Smartblock. I'll be darned if I can get it to work, though. I've read everything I can find and fiddled with every menu available, and it still doesn't work...at all. White List, Black List, none of it. All calls go straight through even though Call Firewall works great.

Any ideas from WM Smartphone or Q9 Global folks?

without having to buy any software, I know a lot of people assign a silent ringer to numbers you want to ignore. but you have to add those numbers to your contacts. So I just have a contact called BLOCKED and then assign/save numbers to that contact.

So I guess in my case I'd want to set up a contact called ALLOWED and have it the only contact with a ringer. :-)

My needs are a little more complicated, and I really want a White List that consists of the numbers on my SIM, and everybody else goes to voice mail immediately.

Call Firewall does exactly that, but it has that one annoying bug that prevents our using call waiting.
