If you bring a gun real or not and you point it at them you better be ready to make sure you shoot

A guy not too far from me a while ago stopped some thieves in progress and he was eye to eye with the barrel of a pistol. The thief said "What are you going to do about it?" The guy's dad saw what was going on and pulled out his rifle and they drove off.

I kinda won't take this away from him. If the attempted thef took place in SoCal and you logicially think of the demographic population, it is primarily Latino. So the assumption is possibly correct. But I think it would be fairly obvious to tell if it the thief was Asian, White, or Black.
