If that's a turbo from a stock z32 300zx, it's sized between a t2 and t25. Tiny.
If that's the case, your price is about $500 too high, and that turbo might support 200whp, max. If it's something else, let me know, but all I'm seeing is what looks identical to a 300zx z32 stock turbo I had and was going to use a number of years ago.

It came off of a twin turbo setup on the 300, I have the other turbo which is idenical to this. The engine was fully built, I will provide you the numbers printed on the turbo to prove what it is. Garrett offers the GT28 in different styles.

I realize this as I've also owned GT28's......but the turbo you pictured looks like a bone stock z32 turbo, which is like a t22 essentially.

Im not trying to argue with you, Im not a turbo expert. But I went on Garretts site and looked at everything and I thought it checked out. It has the M24 stamp on the front also and is water cooled.

I know, but i'm also trying to help you out.All stock z32 turbos are water cooled. Also, the "M24" stamp is just a stamp on the compressor housings. Most stock garrett turbos have 'em. T25s from Silvias, etc. I really think that's just a stock z32 300z turbo.

there is no tag anywhere on the center section where the oil and coolant line hook up, the actuator checks as a gt28 actuator, but doesn't mean it wasn't upgraded

No there are no markings, I did see on the inner-side of the exhaust houseing it read H3, 54F if that helps

more specifically, did he say it was a GT28 or GT28R?I owned a GT28R, and the compressor housing never had that "tag" location thing towards the outlet side.

I talked to him he said it is a GT28R BB. It was used on a twin turbo setup (which he has the other idenical to this one) he said the car put down 650hp with these turbo's. I've seen the engine they came off of personally and it was fully built, crank was done, pauter rods, not sure what pistons. But I dont see why they would use stock turbo's on that setup.are the stock turbos even available with a 60trim cold-side and .86 hot-side?

these are pics of a brand new GT28R that I owned. Check the numbers on that wastegate actuator (which came straight from Garrett) and compare to yours.Also, the 2nd pic shows a tag that is on the CHRA straight from Garrett. See if yours has one there. I'm still not so sure that's a GT28R, especially since it looks like it's still got the stock lines mounted to it. anyways, good luck.

Thats not a GT28. Might be pretty close in size but I am 97.957% certain its not a GT28.

Thanks for the help, Im at work so I will check when I get back into town. I hope no one thinks Im trying to scam, Im a honest person and would not rip anyone off.
