I've been checking out the LG Shine. Decent size and about 0.6" thick, I hate bulky phones in my pocket.My phone is on the fritz and need a new one.

my gf has the shine, and it has horrible buttons and call quality isnt that great.

at&t really needs to get a qwerty folder/slider. i was so pissed when the samsung glyde went to verizon. something better than that monstrocity pantech duotouch screen is cool and all. but typing a sms on it bugs the hell out of me. i need tactical response in my life

wow, are u serious? THEY HAVE ONE and they have had one. here is their old one they had out a while ago: 
here is their new one that came out around november of 2007 that replaced the aforementioned one:

the buttons are recessed a lot, with very little give, and since its a slider, the buttons are far down. one hand operation requires you to move your thumb almost unnaturally, and its just uncomfortable. i thought the razr had bad buttons, but the shine's way worse.

the duo is a huge PIECE i knew a girl who had one. she went through like 4 of them after 2 months they start to break. biggest piece of shit ever. never by a pantech/helio phone

small + full qwerty keyboard isn't going to happen anytime soon unless they make the keys of the keyboard smaller. the phone is pretty thick and heavy though, but you get used to it.
