So that was a long game tonight. Congrats to UNC for pulling it out and that dude for hitting the Slammy! Note of interest, the last guy to hit a grand slam in the CWS was a guy I used to play rec ball and yard ball with while growing up. David Coffey who played for UGA. So who are your favorites now? Georgia (2-0) v. Stanford (2-1) and Fresno State (2-0) v. North Carolina (2-1)

As much as I wanted to see LSU take it, Fresno St. is lookin like they wanna clean house. Their game has been nothing less than killer so far this series. I am gonna be rooting for Georgia now that LSU was eliminated, just because I am nothing of a Stanford fan and the LSU/Stanford rivalry goes back a few years between my brother and me.

So Fields kinda let some get away, but that's ok when you have a 5 run lead in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Stanford hit him hard and they hit some hard balls all game. Goooooooo Dawgs......

That was a horribly disgusting lackadaisical effort from UGA. I realize they got down emotionally after that initial 6 spot, but c'mon..... still had so much game left. They just thought they had it in the bag I'm sure when they were up 5-0. Oh well, tonight should be a very good game and I hope it can come down to the final couple of innings. Out of curiousity, on the strike 'em out throw 'em out with Cerione at the plate, did you think it was honestly a strike 3 pitch? This doesn't make or break the game, but there is a big difference with bases loaded and 1 out versus out number 3. Just curious. Goooooo Bulldogs! errrr..... Georgia Bulldogs that is!

that was one amazing tournament! i honestly thought that Georgia was playing the best ball in the country, but Fresno was simply a buzz saw that could not be stopped. it's like George Mason not just getting to the Final Four, but WINNING it.  mad props to the lowest seeded team in ANY sport winning the MNC.
