Default P90X

Hey there guys, I know its usually ideal to start getting sexy before summer but I saw an infomercial for once that I actually believed. It's a DVD set of exercises that uses a technique called muscle confusion (working out different muscles everyday).

Anyone try this program out or know of anyone that has tried it? I watched youtube clips of peoples transformation in 90 days and it was pretty impressive.

I know it's intense and if one was to work out that hard at the gym for 90 days and eat accordingly they'd see a pretty big change, but i'm really eager to try this out.

(Yea it's cheesy but for once I trust one of these infomercials)

that's really wierd, i just was reading some stuff about p90x.

if you're medium weight and tryin to lose some, give it all you got and you'll lose. if you put 100% attitude and effort in to this, you'll achieve results.

I can honestly say though...that without cardio when i was in Iraq, i was able to drop ~40lbs of fat and gain 20lbs of muscle...from 205 to 185. i was eating right and did it all in about 60 days with german american technologies stacks....3 hours a day in the gym, 6 days a week.

so far though, i think that anybody can achieve p90x results on their own at the gym....pick up a muscle fitness magazine, read about some workout routines, and you'll be hooked....and you'll save yourself about 200 bucks...

also check out bodybuilding.com ...not only do they have some decent pricing on supp's but they have pictures and stuff if you don't know what a certain lift entails etc.

I've heard that it's not a bad workout. Good for losing weight. The recipe book is supposed to have some decent stuff in it.
I also heard that the yoga portion of the workout is really tough. My buddy said that he always shrugged yoga off and would never take a class for it, but doing it following the dvd he realized just how hard it is.

Well I lost a good amount of weight when I was working out (1-2 muscles a day running 3 miles every other day). I had a decent work out plan but not good enough I guess. I didn't work out long or hard enough but I was at the gym 5-6 days a week for at least an hour...my genetics probably suck balls? I went for about 6-7 months straight and my membership expired so I stopped like a panzy.

Ive gone from ~190 to 15ish over the years but now im back at ~170 (work is a bitch). I will start doing cardio in the morning and i'm slowly getting strict on my diet. In all honesty im like the rest of em, impatient, I smoke and drink too and that's obvioulsy not a helper either. I think im going to try it out...people are offering me burned cds but I'd rather get the whole program...and I believe its more aroun 100 not 200

and considering I could sell this when I'm done for at least half the price but can't sell an expensive gym membership, it seems like the better choice.

20 pounds of muscle in 60 days? MAYBE if you were on some serious gear. im not sure if that's what you mean by "german american technologies stacks..."

as far as p90x goes.. just do crossfit.

testrol, jet fuel, nitric suspension, and animal pack vitamins..
a "stack" is just the supplements that you take, its just a commonly known term when referring to what you take..

this thread really isn't about me, i was just stating something that i did...and what is really possible...

i just got myself a copy of the video 2 weeks ago, i'm on week 2 day 2 right now, and it's not easy. you have to really not go full blast, and take it a decent pace. the first day i thought i was gonna puke when i was done because i did too much. the thing i like so far about the P90X is it's hitting muscles that i couldn't actually hit for some reason with weights.

definetly not, but you can lose close to 20lbs of fat in that amount of time, which would make you look "ripped" depending on how much body fat you start with

Watching the p90x commercials, those guys get shreded, but they always go down in weight. This isn't the kind of program that will make you big and add 20lbs of muscle

I just finished day 2 of the p90x program. It is a workout. From looking at the schedule it seems to be that one day is weights then the next is a style of cardio. From the 2 days I have done I feel good.
At the start of the year I weighed 210 and through eating better and going to the gym I got down to a low of 178. I moved about 2 months ago and have been working a ton. I haven't been able to get to the gym in awhile and when I do it is a consistent basis. That's why I decided to try the P90x program.

Also if you look around there are torrent files with the full program. One has ISO files and you can burn all the dvds. That is around 45GB. There is also one with them all ripped to MPG files and is only about 7.5GB. Both come with full scans of the workbook. I chose the 45GB one and burned the dvds.

My p90x dvds came in like couple days ago but I won't be starting it until next week. I was thinking about looking for it off torrents but it okay. Not that bad when its a payment plan.

I'll post up pics when I start the program.
