Default Big, Bigger, and Biggest.... Simple PED/QSD H22 stroker dyno results!!!

It has been awhile since I have posted dyno graphs of our H22 stroker motors that we have been building over the past year.

95mm stroke- 87mm bore JDM type S pistons, Unported head, Blox cams, springs & retainers, Skunk2 IM, DH-Racing TB, Tuned with chrome pro.

97 stroke- 87mm bore base model prelude pistons (machined), stock rods, unported head, Blox cams, springs & retainers, TWM ITB's. Tuned with chrome pro.

99 stroke- same exact mods as the 95 stroke but with a custom 99mm crank

With the ITB's you can see that the torque curve does not jump up and fall off as it does with the manifold.

If you look at both the 95mm and 99mm stroke you can see that the curves are almost identical. You can see that the ITB's really help the top end and especially the flat spot around 7100-7600 RPM due to air flow of the manifold vs. the ITBs.

This is the first time I have really sat down and compared graphs and really looked at the ITB dyno chart. I may just have to throw the ITBs on the 99mm engine and see what we can do.

~Derek

AS much as I don;t want to call them 'prototypes' because there really wasn't many custom components needed, these setups are helping us determine what steps make more power than another.

Your stratagy should be head and cams. This was all acheived with sub .500 lift. Most of the simple K's are .530-.550.

so its a modded k24 crank and rods with what pistons?.
really nice power for such a light build. easily a extra hp in the cams and head.

what compression are you running?

Very good info here...

Just the begining!! Very interesting how the 95/99mm motors have such a similar powerband. Guess that just shows you what effect ITB's have.

Wonder what would change if headwork was done??????

I'm wondering how's the powerband compared to a reguler 87x99 K and the area under the curve
