Default Future.'s Crossfit log

Sup guys, im gonna start doing crossfit maybe 4-5 times a week. I went in for a free trial class and im probably going to sign up tomorrow.

Today was Fran:

21-15-9

Thrusters
Pull-ups


I did it in about 12 minutes.

I also had to substitute jumping pullups in because my arms were dead.

Yes, i am pale lmao, 75% Irish.

Also, do you guys notice my pecs are uneven? I mean, it looks that way. Theres a difference but its kinda hard to figure out what it is, but i can notice it. Im just curious if its noticable to other people, or if im just paying too much attention to it.

It looks like my right (left in the pics) is more boobed than the other, im not sure if thats because its bigger, or maybe since im right handed its more developed? im not sure..

Nah, its actually Capital Jiu-Jitsu. I may take jiu-jitsu next month so it fits, and i think this place is cheaper than the actual Faifax Crossfit place.

I wanted to do crossfit just to learn oly lifts. That is what I wanted to focus on. The hours were very limited and it was too far of a drive. It is a good program, lots of compound lifts. They will get you into good shape.

good luck post some progress photos. Are you going to learn oly lifts?

part of cross fit is learning that.

i sometimes question their technique though, the high intensity of their style of lifting does not really work with olympic lifting IMO.

i was doing crossfit for 2 months then 2 months of isolated lifting.

i lost a lot of size when iw as doing cross fit. but gaine a lot of usable muscle.

i would never pay for a CF gymt hough, at 150 dollars a month it is a joke. i just get their routine on their website and look like a fool at my gym

Yea, im gonna need to learn oly lifts, i havent done them before so its all going to be new.

Today:

1 minute kettlebell swings (I used a 40 lb. DB)
1 minute box jumps
1 minute ball slams
1 minute burpees
45 seconds kettlebell swings
45 seconds box jumps
45 seconds ball slams (16 lb.)
45 seconds burpees
30 seconds kettlebell swings
30 seconds box jumps
30 seconds ball slams
30 seconds burpees
15 seconds kettlebell swings
15 seconds box jumps
15 seconds ball slams
15 seconds burpees

128 TOTAL REPS

Yea, i tried kipping the first class and it was actually pretty hard to do it the proper way, but ill get there. I cant wait for muscle ups and ring dips...

lol! the place i go said 3 = 1 .. it is a BITCH

there are substitutions for everything... like rope climbs = 5 pull ups holding onto rope, or those tricep rope things which is easier IMO.

and so forth and so forth. let me know if you ever have any questions.. friend is an instructor

Big ups to you guys doing this. I know personally I would be throwing up everday until I got into shape. Me getting into crossfit shape means me losing 50lbs, lol.

Hah yea, it sucks a lot. I always thought i was in decent shape until crossfit lmao. Thanks.
