Yea Im really interested in the Borg warner units but cannot find any data other than comparison dyno charts... which do little to no help when selecting a turbo. and the Sc61 doesnt mean much being its a series of turbos. Knowing they are great turbos... but are they the best for my setup?

Well sometime if you want something good for yourself, you should be doing some research than. There plenty of people running Precision SC61, there a few different trim to the turbo but not much different. The biggest exhaust wheel will make a little more power and a little later spool. You should punch in sc61 in the search and pages of result would come up to keep to busy for a few hours. In the end it your car, so you have to pick which one you want not what someone tell you to pick.

do you intend to reach 450whp on pump gas all the time, or race gas sparingly?

If you plan to run race gas when you want the higher numbers, another good turbo for you is the Borg Warner S256 or S258. I'm planning on pushing my S256 to ~450whp but i have the advantage of runnning E85 (105oct).

the s256 is a great turbo and yes its not a ball bearing turbo but its not much cheaper than your typical ball bearing turbo. great solution but i dont think its in his budget.

The answer will make or break your turbo choice. What's it going to be?

the borg units dont offer a good "in between" for my price range so Im leaning towards the garrett 60-1 and I would like to be able to make it on pump gas.

Wouldn't a Garrett T3/TO4E 57 trim w/ .63 a/r work pretty good and get you close to 450WHP on pump, I am doing a similar build and wanting to get 400WHP on 93 octane with that turbo and would think that it would allow for 450WHP?
