It should be 81mm or a bit smaller. You don't want the combustion chamber bore larger than your HG bore or your block bore.

Seen the posts on B20 head gasket. Do B20 blow because the head is spot-faced to match the block bore of 84mm

Are you refering to a B20/vtec?

Place the dowel pins in the head and place a OE gasket and you will see that the chamber is slightly smaller than the bore.

Another way to ask the questionOn a K20 does the bore of combustion chamber (head) match up with bore of block - experts can comment on quench etc.......

Can u comment on the GSR block, pistons & head - GSR head is flat - the quench pad is the head (c.f. with the B16B head) - the combustion chamber ("CC") bore diameter is looks much smaller than the block bore, but I guess you have to look at the pistons, right? B20B Engines - how good his the squish, if the head isnt matched to the bore?

Large bore (84mm) + lousy squish (detonation) + unmatched head to block + weak cylinder walls = Engine sure to blow?
