Kit for adding negative camber for a 1991 CRX« » Reply  Edit

Need some help guys. I have a 1991 CRX race car, can only dial in -2.5 degrees of camber in front, would like -3.5. Does anyone make a kit that can do this? I mistakenly bough the skunk 2 upper control arm replacement camber kit before I realized that this ADDS front camber, which I do not want, so I have to send these back. Any help is appreciated.

AAhh no it doesn't, you should be able to get a good amount of negative camber with those arms.

You could lower the car some more, or you could install offset bushings in the anchors, you could bend the uprights, you could install washers under the anchors, ect. And this is if you can't get any more negative camber from the Skunk2 product.

I use only the SPC adjustable sliding upper ball joints and I can get -3.5 deg easy (I think I can get to -5 deg).

Or you can find NOS Vision A arms right?

Yep, only if you're lucky and know the right people. And I'm one of the lucky few that owns a set of Vision Technica UCA for the CRX - and all thanks to you.

Not the cheapest route for adding negative camber to the ef chassis, but possibly the blingest!

There does not appear to be any adjustability to those Cusco arms whatsoever.

I have these off the car now. I didn't get much negative camber out of them. I suppose I could sell them, but who would want them? LOL.

BTW, skunk2 now makes a negative arm for 88-91s. Some have gotten -3 neg camber. Nice.

well, my original theory was the ex knuckles had slightly differant geometry than the regular small hub knuckles. but i just measured my ex and 2 sets of dx/std/si knuckles and all the numbers came out the same. and its even camber so i know the knuckles aint bent. im gonna have to take more measurements and figure it out.

edit*i do know the da knuckles are taller than the civic ones tho. so if its legal for whatever class u run in, you could switch to those and gain larger brakes and more camber from the taller knuckle.

edit again cause im dumb as rocks today* skunk2 now makes ef adjustable arms. im sure you can get another 3/4 of a degree with those at least.

ok, im realy done this time
