I see most of them being built for the track. They're AMAZING track cars. I don't see them rice'd out or having stupid ricer drivers. Other then they're trannies failing, they get from me.

Cheap, fast, unreliable.

I might get one for drag racing, but would never DD one.

They are great cars if taken care of. They can make alot of power on the cheap. Just have to take care of them. I have owned one and had a good time with it.

Who doesn't have to take care of a fast car?

''Unreliable''
What fast car doesn't require maintenance ?

''Their motors blow''

That sounds really descriptive I guess Honda engines don't ever blow.

Don't ask for opinions because.

i actually think they are a better platform than honda cars. what ever you do to a civic, you do to a dsm you will be faster always. not to mention civics/integras skyrocketted in price.

dsm's not so much unless you have a gsx.

DSMs... hmmmm well, back in 2000 I owed a '91 Eagle Talon TSi awd automatic... it took a long ass time for the turbo to spool.. umm, I kept having a fuel pump problem with it..

so.

DSMs = headaches

A 14b spools at 2500rpm or less and thats on a 5 speed meanwhile the automatic has a smaller turbo and spools up even faster

Great description.

i am willing to bet he put larger dia pipes, and a large FMIC on it, like most of the subie guys without increasing "boost" or upgrading it when it was not a restriction
