Side Mount Seat Rail Question/Issue for 89-91 CRX?« » Reply  Edit

Hey guys

I have a Bride Zeta 2 seat and I was experimenting on fitment using Wedge slider/brackets and F1Spec side mounts. It sits way too high. So high, where I had to put my stock seat back on.

Are there super low rails for 89-91 USDM CRX available? Any suggestions?

I've seen these Vision seats on this EF8 and I was wondering if anyone knew what side mount/brackets combo was used.

the car is a 1990. i contacted dave at memory fab and he said to leave my car there for at least a week to have something "fabbed" up. also contacted "spock_rocker" on here and he said 6-8 weeks to shipped from japan. i guess they had to make them for that long turn-around time. but i'm sure there are other brands out there and i'm wondering what ppl have here.

I had an 89 hatch that had a memory bucket in it with the mf brackets and it sat WAY low. I was thinking about getting some because I have the same issue. The buckets in my rex have me sitting kinda high. I'm also pretty tall though. You might wanna try those. Also, could it be the seat design?

im prob going to get the memoryfab sidemounts for my new setup....actually the only other option you have is to weld in the floorpan seat mountings off an 88crx(its actually not that hard if you can weld), and then you can get the nagisa nams ebay sidemounts, which sit really low, or any other jdm ones(brides ultra low)

It may be the seat design or it could be the side mounts i'm using. or maybe crx's are destined for bottom mounted seats. i just dunno...

yeah, i saw chase do that. thats quite a bit of work for some seat rails. to do my own custom work will be my last resort. but i know there are companies out there that provide for 89-91 CRXs! but so funny that there are more options for 88 CRX than the USDM 89-91 versions.
