I HAVE A 1991 HONDA ACCORD LX AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 2.2L ENGINE.
ON SOME OCCASIONS IT WILL NOT START UNTIL I REMOVE THE INTAKE HOSE AND SPRAY IT WITH STARTING FLUID AND THEN IT RUNS NO PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL DO IT AGAIN. AND I REPEAT THE SPRAY AND IT STARTS AGAIN. IT IS GETTING PRETTY ANNOYING ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MY WIFE DRIVES IT TO WORK AND WHEN SHE GETS OFF SHE HAS TO OPEN THE HOOD AND SPRAY THE INTAKE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED MAYBE SOME OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH YOUR ACCORDS THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

sounds like a fuel system problem...have you checked you are getting enough fuel as that could be intermittent ...try replacing the fuel filter

There is no need to SHOUT at the people trying to help you.

When you turn on the key you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds.
The main relay [cracked solder joints] is a common problem that stops the fuel pump from running.

Also try turning on the key and wait for the CEL to shut off, then crank the engine.
