  Floor jack doesn't pump?« » Reply  Edit

No idea where to post this, please move to correct forum is this is not.

I got a free floor jack from a friend cuz it stopped working for some reason. It doesn't go up at all.

I'm getting some oil and bleeding it tomorrow to see if thats it, but is there else anything I can check?

its either low on oil or it has a bad seal.

I see. Well that's good to know, I looked at hydraulic oil and it was $30-40

plus hydraulic oil is nasty as shit, stains everything, smells horrible and is impossible to clean up.

Ew. If it is a bad seal, does that mean it's trash?

well.. if you can pull it apart, you can more than likely find a seal.. i think most jack's cylinders are like a 1/2" bore, then if thats the case i could probably find something similar laying around traxxion

Sweet. I'll try to look for an online manual for it. Thanks

The sticker is all ripped up, I can't find a part # on it. Found this on google though, http://home.earthlink.net/~rob...1.gif looks like that.
