Im trying to start off in road racing and I im seeing what every one thinks aobut this tire wheel combo.

5Zigen Becket FN-01R Forged 15x7 10.6

Hankook Ventus R-S2

I know the hankook's arnt great but there wider then my curent set up which is slips with Dunlop Z1 195/55/15

I like how wide the hankook will be. and Also i like that the Becket's are lighter
does anyone know the Becket's offset?

i like my hankook rs2's but i dont really have anything to compare them to, other than the kumho mx's and yokohama es100's ive had. the hankook is a superior tire.

I think for the price of the hankooks they are good if you plan to do a lot of daily driving. I chose them over the falken azenis because they are supposed to get more miles than the falkens and perform almost as good, i felt the mileage was worth the bit of performance loss for me. I would say if youre trying to not spend too much money, want a wider tire, and more miles, the rs2 would be a good choice. The azenis are better if youre not concerned with mileage but still price conscious.

Apparently the new compound of dunlop direzza z1 is supposed to be superb, i dont know if the tire size is going to be very much different from the hankook though, apparently its pretty wide, but the question is that is it even wide enough?

As I replied in the wheel and tire forum, where you posted the same question...

My advice to you is not to worry too much about getting special tires for road racing when you're first starting out. Just use your regular street tires, whatever you got. When you're first learning, you won't be using the full capabilities of your tires anyway; the limiting factor will be your driving abilities, not your tires. Once you've driven in a good 6-10 events, at that point you can start worrying about stepping up to higher-performance tires (and you will probably want to get R compound track tires on a separate set of wheels for your car - and yes, at THAT point it may make sense to get them in a wider size).

those hankooks will be fine for HPDE and track schools.

if anything sell those expensive wheels, and stepup to some 15x7.5 or 15x8 wheels. definitely a better choice for the 225/45/15's.
i have the same tires mounted on some 15x7.5 slipstreams. i'd put them on 15x8's but i got the slipstreams for a steal of a price.

you can get the 949 racing 6ul 15x8 wheels for $149 each. they are 13lbs.
i seriously doubt you will notice a 2.4 lb difference per wheel.

You'll find that the 225/45-15 Hankook RS2 is not as wide as you think it should be. It'll hardly be wider than the 195/55-15 Dunlop Z1, which is a SUPERIOR tire compound as well. I would guess you'd be faster on your current setup. I would highly recommend you don't waste your money on the Hankooks and those not-too-cheap 15x7 Beckets.
